Junior Exploration Geologist Sumatera Utara

Responsibilities:

Exploration Strategy assist with the development of an exploration plan for each project area; carry out the exploration plan and ensure reporting of daily, weekly and monthly requirements. Operation Management of the Exploration Programme assist with planning, scheduling and budgeting of the exploration plan; oversee contractors and consultants to ensure work is completed safely and to required standards; oversee exploration operations to ensure they are undertaken to plan and in accordance with government legislation; activitely liaise with landowners and cultural groups; ensure all data obtained is reviewed and assessed prior to entry into the database. Safety Management of the Exploration Programme. Resource Statements establish standards and processes for all geological and quality testing; develop and maintain geological records of all identified Company geological data; assist with compilation of resource reports to JORC standards. Geological and Technical Reporting.

Requirements: Bachelor in Geology / Equivalent qualification. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated ability to carry out successful field orientated exploration and drilling programmes for metalliferous minerals (gold, copper, base metals). Computer literacy with skills in Mapinfo/Discover or ArcView/ArcGIS highly regarded. Basic skills in Surfer, Autocad, Coreldraw regarded but not essential. Highly Developed Report writing skills and Leadership skills including demonstrated ability to give technical and other presentations to provincial authorities (Pemda, Kanwil Pertambangan, etc.) will be highly regarded but not essential. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists and technical consultants. Basic knowledge of English language will be highly regarded. Valid drivers license.
