menggunakan dapar amonia amonium
klorida (pH dapar ± 9-10) = Indikator EBT
dan dititrasi dengan Na2EDTA

Teori Umum
Kompleksometri adalah jenis titrasi
dimana titran dan titrat saling
mengkompleks, jadi membentuk hasil
berupa senyawa kompleks. Reaksi
kompleks yang terbentuk dianggap
sebagai reaksi asam basa Lewis dengan
ligan bertindak sebagai basa, dengan
menyumbangkan sepasang
elektronnyakepada kation yang
merupakan asamnya. Ikatan atom
yang terbentuk antara atom logam
pusat dan ligan sering disebut kovalen.
Sifat Fisik dan Sifat Kimia Seng adalah elemen dasar,
mempunyai berat molekul 161,4 mengandung satu
atau tujuh molekul air hidrat, konsentrasi diatas 5
mg/l didalam air dapat menyebabkan rasa paahit dan air
bersifat alkali. Hablur transparan atau jarum-jarum kecil,
serbuk hablur atau butir, tidak berwarna, tidak berbau,
larutan memberikan reaksi asam terhadap lakmus,
sangat larut dalam air, mudah larut dalam gliserol, tidak
larut dalam etanol. Seng dalam air juga mungkin
dihasilkan dari sisa racun industri
Vitamin C disebut juga asam askorbat yaitu
suatu zat organis yang merupakan ko-enzim
atau askorbat ko-faktor pada berebagai reaksi
biokimia tubuh. Struktur asam askorbat
mempunayai struktur monosakarida tetapi
mengandung gugus enediol

Titrasi harus dilakukan pada pH diatas Titrasi Zn++ merupakan salah satu contoh
minimum dan harus dengan campuran titrasi yang pHnya harus diatas 7 dan
penahan agar pH tidak turun selama menggunakan Eriochrom Black T sebagai
titrasi belangsung. Adakalanya titrasi indikator. Untuk itu buffer yang dipakai adalah
harus dilakukan pada pH yang campuran NH4OH dan NH4Cl, misalnya dengan
memungkinkan ion logam membentuk pH 9 pada tingkat kebasaan ini Zn++ dapat
endapan oksida basa atau bahkan mengendap, tetapi tercegah oleh pembentukan
hidroksida. Untuk mengatasi hal itu senyawa kompleks dengan NH3. Secara bertahap
konsentrasi ion logam dibuat kecil, terbentuk Zn(NH3)++, Zn (NH3)2++, Zn (NH3)3++
misalnya 0,0010 M untuk mengurangi dan Zn (NH3)4++.

 Metodologi
Prosedur penelitian adalah ditimbang ZnSO4 7H2O
dan vitamin C dengan perbandingan seperti tabel
dibawah ini :

 Cara Kerja

× Dimasukkan dalam erlenmeyer ditambah

aquades 50 ml, digojok 3 menit.
× Ditambah 5 ml Buffer amonia pH 10.
× Di cek pH larutan menggunakan alat pH
meter
× Ditambah indikator EBT secukupnya (merah
anggur)
× Di titrasi dengan Na2 EDTA 0,05 M sampai
terbentuk warna biru jernih.
