 Hipertensi Pada Kehamilan
Kehamilan merupakan suatu keadaan fisiologis, tetapi ada beberapa
keadaan yang dapat menyebabkan kehamilan penuh dengan ancaman.
Diawali dari hasil bertemunya sperma dan ovum yang tidak
mibuenempel dengan sempurna ke rahim, kemungkinan pertumbuhan
janin yang terhambat, berbagai penyakit ibu yang mengancam
kehamilan, hingga proses kelahiran yang juga mempunyai resiko
tersendiri. Salah satu penyakit yang sering mengancam kehamilan
adalah hipertensi dalam kehamilan.

Hipertensi atau tekanan darah tinggi adalah suatu kondisi medis dimana
seseorang mengalami peningkatan tekanan darah secara kronis (dalam
waktu yang lama) yang mengakibatkan angka kesakitan dan kematian.
Seseorang dikatakan menderita tekanan darah tinggi atau hipertensi yaitu
apabila tekanan darah sistolik >140 mmHg. Dan diastolik >90 mmHg
Di Indonesia, Hipertensi Dalam Kehamilan (HDK) menduduki peringkat kedua tertinggi
penyebab kematian ibu setelah perdarahan. Dalam hal ini preeklampsia berat merupakan
penyebab terbesar dalam kelompok HDK yang menimbulkan komplikasi hingga
menyebabkan kematian ibu. Proporsi hipertensi dalam kehamilan di Indonesia semakin
meningkat, hampir 30% kematian ibu di Indonesia disebabkan oleh HDK.

Faktor keturunan dari data statistik terbukti bahwa seseorang akan memiliki kemungkinan
lebih besar untuk mendapatkan hipertensi jika orangtuanya adalah penderita hipertensi.
Ciri perseorangan yang mempengaruhi hipertensi adalah usia (jika usia
bertambah maka tekanan darah meningkat), jenis kelamin (pria lebih tinggi
dari perempuan), ras (ras kulit hitam lebih banyak dari kulit putih).Kebiasaan
hidup yang sering menyebabkan timbulnya hipertensi adalah : konsumsi
garam yang tinggi (lebih dari 30 g), kegemukan atau makan berlebihan, stres,
merokok, minum alkohol, minum obat-obatan (ephedrine, prednison,
epinefrin).
