 PENGERTIAN PERADABAN
Peradaban merupakan tahap kebudayaan tertentu dan telah maju yang bercirikan
penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, seni dan lain-lain. Masyarakat memiliki
peradaban yang berbeda-beda satu sama lain.
Beberapa pendapat mengenai peradaban yang disampaikan oleh para ahli:
● Menurut Oswalg Spengl, Peradaban adalah kebudayaan yang mengalami perubahan
dan menekankan pada kesejahteraan fisik dan material.
● Menurut Anne Ahira, Peradaban adalah kebudayaan yang mengalami kemajuan
yang tinggi.
● Menurut KBBI, Peradaban adalah kemajuan yang menyangkut sopan santun, budi
bahasa dan kebudayaan suatu bangsa.
● Dalam kebudayaan Barat, manusia beradab adalah yang berpendidikan, sopan dan
berbudaya.
 WUJUD PERADABAN

Tinggi rendahnya peradaban suatu bangsa sangat dipengaruhi oleh faktor:

● Pendidikan
● Kemajuan teknologi dan Ilmu pengetahuan.
● Wujud Peradaban Moral:
a. Nilai-nilai dalam masyarakat dalam hubungannya dengan
kesusilaan.
b. Norma : aturan, ukuran, atau pedoman yang dipergunakan dalam
menentukan sesuatu benar atau salah, baik atau buruk.
c. Etika : nilai-nilai dan norma moral tentang apa yang baik dan buruk
yang menjadi pegangan dalam megatur tingkah laku manusia. Bisa
juga diartikan sebagai etiket, sopan santun.
d. Estetika : berhubungan dengan segala sesuatu yang tercakup
dalam keindahan, mencakup kesatuan (unity), keselarasan
(balance), dan kebalikan (contrast).
