Masalah Order Quanity adalah penentuan ukuran order
optimal bagi suatu persediaan dilihat dari segi kegunaan,
biaya pemeliharaan, dan biaya pemesanan.
Model EQQ berusaha menentukan ukuran order yang
meminimumkan biaya persediaan total, dengan asumsi
:

Biaya Persediaan Total = Total Biaya Pemeliharaan + Total Biaya Pemesanan

 Masalah Order Point
Masalah Order Point adalah menentukan seberapa rendah
persediaan dikosongkan sebelum pesanan kembali. Dua faktor
yang mempengaruhi order point adalah (1) stock saat
pengiriman dan (2) safety stock.
Delivery Time Stock adalah Safety Stock adalah persediaan yang
persediaan yang dibutuhkan dipegang untuk mengakomodasi
antara tanggal pemesanan dan penggunaan besar yang tidak biasa dan
penerimaan persediaan yang tidak diharapkan selama waktu
dipesan penyerahan.

Akibat terus memelihara safety stock, tingkat rata-rata persediaan

naik. Sedangkan sebelum pengikutsertaan safety stock, tingkat rata-
rata persediaan sama dengan EOQ/2, sekarang menjadi :

 Inflasi dan EQQ
Inflasi mempengaruhi model EQQ dalam dua cara.
Pertama, meskipun model EQQ bisa dimodifikasi untuk
mengasumsikan kenaikan harga konstan, kerap kenaikan
harga besar hanya terjadi sekali atau dua kali setahun dan
diumumkan jauh-jauh hari. Kedua, melalui kenaikan biaya
pemeliharaan. Karena inflasi mendorong bunga ke atas, biaya
pemeliharaan persediaan naik.

Cara Mengantisipasi adalah dengan Pembelian Antisipasi, yakni pembelian

sebagai antisipasi terhadap kenaikan harga agar dapat memperoleh barang
dengan harga lebih murah.
 Kontrol Inventory Just In Time
Sistem Kontrol Persediaan ‘Just In Time’ adalah menjaga
persediaan pada tingkat minimum dan mengandalkan
pemasok untuk memenuhi suku cadang ‘just in time’.
Sistem ini adalah pendekatan baru terhadap model EOQ yang
berusaha menghasilkan tingkat persediaan rata-rata serendah
mungkin.

Cara Mengantisipasi adalah dengan Pembelian Antisipasi, yakni pembelian

sebagai antisipasi terhadap kenaikan harga agar dapat memperoleh barang
dengan harga lebih murah.
