1. Tema yaitu pokok masalah yang mendasari cerita.

2. Tokoh yaitu pemeran dalam cerita/novel. Secara umum, tokoh
dalam novel terbagi ke dalam empat, yaitu protagonis,
antagonis, tritagonis, dan figuran
3. Penokohan biasanya dilakukan dengan dua cara, yaitu analitik
dan dramatik.
4. Plot/alur merupakan hubungan antarperistiwa yang bersifat
sebab akibat. Plot juga dapat berupa cerminan atau perjalanan
tingkah laku para tokoh dalam bertindak, berpikir.
5. Latar sebagai pelukisan tempat, waktu, dan suasana pada suatu
peristiwa yang ada di cerita fiksi.
 6. Sudut pandang terdiri atas:
1. Sudut Pandang Orang Pertama
a) Sudut Pandang Orang Pertama (Tokoh Utama) b) Sudut Pandang Orang Pertama (Tokoh

berdiri kaku di pojok ruangan. Ukiran jati

Contoh:
Entah apa yang terjadi dengannya seminggu
belakangan ini. Pulang dari kantor langsung
menunjukkan muka masam. Belum lagi puasa
bicara yang sudah ia lakukan seminggu
belakangan ini. Apa mungkin karena
hubungan dia dan sang kekasih yang tidak
direstui oleh keluarga?
 3. Sudut Pandang Campuran yaitu sudut pandang yang
menggabungkan antara sudut pandang orang pertama dan
orang ketiga.  Ada kalanya si penulis ‘masuk’ ke dalam
cerita (bukan sebagai tokoh utama) dan ada kalanya ia
berada di luar cerita menjadi orang yang serba tahu.

7. Amanat
Amanat atau nilai moral merupakan unsur isi dalam karya
fiksi yang mengacu pada nilai-nilai, sikap, tingkah laku, dan
sopan santun pergaulan yang dihadirkan
