Karies gigi adalah penyakit jaringan gigi yang ditandai dengan 1. G.V Black
kerusakan jaringan yang dimulai dari permukaan gigi pit, fissure 2. G. J Mount
3. ICDAS
dan daerah interproximal meluas kearah pulpa. Karies gigi
merupakan proses kerusakan gigi yang dimulai dari email yang
berlanjut ke dentin

Resin komposit dapat didefiniskan sebagai gabungan dari dua atau lebih
bahan yang berbeda sifat dan struktur namun dapat menghasilkan sifat
bahan yambal yang lebih baik. Resin komposit terdiri dari beberapa
campuran material, yaitu matriks, filler, inisiator, inhibitor, dan modifier optic.

A. Preparasi Gigi
1. Buang jaringan karies dengan bur
metal bulat.
2. Buka kavitas dengan round
diamond bur
3. Hilangkan jaringan email yang tidak
didukung dentin sehat dengan bur
diamond silindris dan bentuk proximal
box pada sisi proksimal.
4. Buat bevel pada enamel dengan
bur diamond fisur.
5. Haluskan dinding kavitas dengan
bur diamond pita kuning.
6. Cek kavitas dengan menggunakan
sonde.
7. Bersihkan kavitas dari sisa-sisa
preparasi dan keringkan kavitas
dengan three way syringe.
B. Restorasi
1. Isolasi daerah kerja menggunakan
cotton roll yang ditempatkan pada
bagian bukal dan lingual
2. Pasang matrix sectional pada
bagian proksimal gigi 17 dan 16.
3. Pasang wooden wedge pada
embrassure interproksimal gigi bagian
mesial dari arah lingual dan letakkan
matrix band holder di antara wooden
wedge dan matrix sectional.
4. Aplikasikan bahan etsa dengan
micro brush pada dinding kavitas,
tunggu selama 15 detik di enamel dan
10 detik di detin.
5. Bersihkan etsa dengan water
syringe
6. Keringkan enamel dengan cotton
pellet kering dan dentin dengan cotton
pellet lembab.
7. Aplikasikan bonding agent dengan
micro brush pada dinding kavitas,
tunggu selama 10 detik kemudian light
cure selama 20 detik.
• Restorasi Gigi
8. Rewalling dinding mesial kavitas
menggunakan komposit layer-by-layer,
kemudian light cure selama 20 detik.
Lepaskan matrix band.
9. Aplikasikan resin komposit layer-by-layer
dengan ash 49 instrument, kemudian light
cure selama 20 detik.
10. Lakukan hingga kavitas terisi sempurna.
11. Bentuk sesuai anatomi gigi.
12. Penyinaran ditempatkan dekat dengan
lapisan tetapi tidak menyentuh
permukaannya.
13. Cek permukaan tambalan dengan
menggunakan sonde dan cek oklusi pasien
dengan articulating paper, jika ada bagian
yang berlebih kurangi dengan finishing strip
pada bagian interproksimal serta
menggunakan white stone bur pada bagian
bukal dan lingual gigi.
14. Lakukan pemolesan dengan rubber
silicone bur dan enhance bur.
