Mencuci tangan adalah salah satu tindakan
membersihkan tangan dari kotoran dan debu
menggunakan sabun dan air mengalir kurang lebih 40-
60 detik untuk mencegah masuknya kuman/bakteri
supaya tidak terjangkit penyakit seperti diare, cacingan,
ISPA, dan lain-lain (Erna et al., 2018).
Kebiasaan masyarakat Indonesia dalam mencuci
tangan pakai sabun hingga kini masih tergolong rendah,
indikasinya dapat terlihat dengan tingginya prevalensi
penyakit diare.

dalam pelaksanaan pencegahan
terjangkitnya suatu penyakit, maka perlu
diberikan pendidikan kesehatan tentang
peningkatan pengetahuan cuci tangan

kurangnya penerapan PHBS dan pengetahuan tentang pentingnya
mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air mengalir
