 A. Pencemaran Lingkungan Hidup

Pencemaran lingkungan hidup menurut

undang-undang No.23 tahun 1997, yaitu
masuknya atau dimasukkannya makhluk
hidup, zat energi, dan atau komponen
lain ke dalam lingkungan hidup oleh
kegiatan manusia sehingga kualitas
lingkungan menurun sampai tingkat
tertentu yang menyebabkan lingkungan
hidup tidak dapat berfungsi sesuai
dengan peruntukannya.

Health Organization (WHO), kadar polutan yang rendah dalam
udara pun bisa berakibat buruk untuk kesehatan tubuh.

ekosistem di permukaan bumi, sehingga tindakan pencegahan
dan penanggulangan pencemaran air penting untuk dilakukan.

karena terpapar berbagai penyakit dari yang ringan sampai yang
cukup serius seperti kanker akibat dari tanah yang tercemar

penggunaan tanaman penguraian limbah organik maupun

- Phytodegradation: penguraian zat kontaminan
- Phytovolatization: transpirasi zat kontaminan
oleh tumbuhan dalam bentuk yang telah
menjadi larutan terurai sebagai bahan yang
tidak berbahaya

 Latar Belakang

Pada era globalisasi ini banyak

pencemaran yang terjadi pada sungai
akibat kelalaian manusia yang tidak
menjaga lingkungan. Sungai
Banjarmasin salah satu yang memiliki
nasib sama dengan sungai lainnya,
kondisi ini menuntut masyarakat
Banjarmasin untuk bisa menjaga sungai
tersebut agar tetap baik.
 Hasil Survey Penelitian
Dari hasil survey lapangan penulis menemukan beberapa faktor yaitu :

• Sungai yang semakin menyempit yang disebabkan oleh bangunan liar/rumah di bantaran
sungai.
• Banyaknya sampah di sungai karena sungai dijadikan sebagai pembuangan, limbah rumah
tangga, industri maupun anorganik yang dibuang sembarangan.
• Banyaknya bangunan jembatan penyebrangan yang mengakibatkan terhentinya lalu lintas air di
daerah hulu.
• Kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat dalam memelihara sungai sebahai lahan basah yang
merupakan tampungan air dan mengatur suhu sekitarnya.
• Penumpukan sampah menyebabkan adanya pengendapan, ditambah dengan sedimentasi yang
terjadi menambah berkurangnya fungsi sungai bahkan mengakibatkan tidak berfungsinya

 Solusi Pencemaran Air Sungai
Dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan terkhususnya sungai,
diperlukan konsep-konsep yang terarah dalam mengurangi atau
menyelesaikan permasalahan sungai bahkan berlanjut pada
pengembangan potensi sungai.
Konsep ramah lingkungan atau eko-hidraulik atau eko-hidrologi
merupakan salah satu konsep yang baik dalam mengatasi
pencemaran yang ada di Sungai Teluk Dalam.

Adapun konsep yang dianjurkan penulis antara lain :

• Hidrologi : Menjaga kelestarian air sungai

• Ekologi : Flora dan Fauna yang berfungsi dalam penguraian
limbah organik
• Sosial Masyarakat : Dengan memberikan pelatihan dan juga
penyadaran kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya menjaga
lingkungan, hal ini dapat menggerakkan hari masyarakat untuk
bisa bergotong royong membersihkan dan menjaga sungai tetap
bersih dan mendorong kekuatan hidrologi maupun ekologi menjadi
lebih kuat.
