Dalam kehidupan setiap tindakan manusia sesungguhnya didasar oleh
keputusan yang diambil. Mulai dari aktifitas individual hingga aktifitas
organisasi. Akan tetapi, karena keputusan-keputusan tersebut telah rutin diambil
maka biasanya seseorang atau kelompok organisasi tidak lagi berlama-lama
berfikir untuk menetapkan keputusan tersebut: Seolah-olah setiap tindakan
dilakukan begitu saja secara alami tanpa pertimbangan. Padahal sesungguhnya
tidaklah sepenuhnya seperti ini.
Bukan perkara mudah untuk mengambil sebuah keputusan. Terutama untuk
seorang pemimpin Keputusan yang diambil haruslah mampu mencakup atau
menjadi penghubung berbagai pendapat yang ada di dalam organisasi atau
lembaga yang dipimpinnya. Keputusan yang dihasilkan tentu keputusan yang
terbaik. Untuk itu diperlukan pertimbangan yang sangat matang.
Pengertian pengambilan keputusan
Pengambilan keputusan merupakan
proses pemilihan satu alternatif dari
beberapa alternatif untuk pemecahan
masalah.

Pengambilan keputusan sangat erat

hubungannya dengan seluruh kegiatan
organisasi untuk memastikan
keberlangsungan perusahaan.
 MENURUT PARA AHLI

A. Menurut Eisenfuhr (2010)

Pengambilan keputusan adalah
proses membuat pilihan dari sejumlah alternatif untuk
mencapai hasil yang diinginkan.

B. Menurut Terry (1994)

pengambilan keputusan adalah pemilihan
alternatif perilaku tertentu dari dua atau lebih alternatif yang ada

C. Menurut Wang dan Ruhe (2007)

pengambilan keputusan adalah proses
yang memilih pilihan yang lebih disukai atau suatu tindakan dari antara
alternatif
atas dasar kriteria atau strategi yang diberikan.
 DASAR PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN

Menurut George R.Terry dan Brinckloe

A. Intuisi
Pengambilan keputusan yang didasarkan atas intuisi atau perasaan
memiliki sifat subjektif sehingga mudah terkena pengaruh. Pengambilan
keputusan berdasarkan intuisi ini mengandung beberapa keuntungan
dan kelemahan.
B. Pengalaman
Pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan pengalaman memiliki manfaat bagi pengetahuan
praktis, karena pengalaman seseorang dapat memperkirakan keadaan sesuatu, dapat
diperhitungkan untung ruginya terhadap keputusan yang akan dihasilkan. Orang yang
memiliki banyak pengalaman tentu akan lebih matang dalam membuat keputusan akan
tetapi, peristiwa yang lampau tidak sama dengan peristiwa yang terjadi kini.
 DASAR PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN
C. Fakta
Pengambilan keputusan yang berdasarkan fakta ialah didasarkan
pada kenyataan objektif yang terjadi sehingga keputusan yang
diambil dapat lebih sehat, solid, dan baik.

D. Wewenang
Pengambilan keputusan ini didasarkan pada wewenang dari
manajer yang memiliki kedudukan lebih tinggi dari
bawahannya.
E. Rasional
Rasional ialah pengambilan keputusan yang bersifat obyektif, logis,
transparan, dan konsisten karena berhubungan dengan tingkat
pengetahuan seseorang.
 JENIS PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN

A. Keputusan terprogram
Kutusan terprogram adalah tindakan menjatuhkan pilihan yang berlangsung berulang
kali dan diambil secara rutin dalam organisasi. Keputusan terprogram biasanya
menyangkut pemecahan masalah-masalah yang sifatnya teknis serta tidak memerlukan
pengarahan dari tingkat manajemen yang lebih tinggi.

B. Keputusan tidak terprogram

muncul sebagai akibat dari suatu situasi di mana ada suatu kemendesakan
untuk segera mengambil tindakan dan memecahkan masalah yang timbul.
Biasanya keputusan ini bersifat repetitif, tidak terstruktur dan sukar
mengenali bentuk, hakekat dan dampaknya
FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENGAMBILAN KEPUTUSAN

a. Kedudukan
Dalam rangka pengambilan keputusan, posisi / kedudukan seseorang
dapat dilihat dalam hal letak posisi. Dalam hal ini apakah sebagai
pembuat keputusan, penetu keputusan, atau staf.

b. Masalah
Masalah atau problem adalah apa yang menjadi penghalang untuk
tercapainya tujuan yang merupakan penyimpangan daripada apa yang
diharapkan, direncanakan, atau dikehendaki dan harus diselesaikan.

c. Situasi
Situasi adalah keseluruhan faktor-faktor dalam keadaan,
yang berkaitan satu sama lain, dan yang secara bersama-
sama memancarkan pengaruh terhadap kita, beserta apa
yang hendak kita perbuat.

d. Kondisi
Kondisi adalah keseluruhan dari faktor-faktor yang secara bersama-sama
menentukan daya gerak, daya berbuat atau kemampuan kita.

e. Tujuan
Tujuan yang hendak dicapai, baik tujuan perorangan, tujuan
unit (kesatuan), tujuan organisasi, maupun tujuan usaha pada
umumnya telah ditentukan. Tujuan yang ditentukan merupakan
tujuan antara subyektif atau obyektif.
Proses Pengambilan Keputusan dalam Organisasi

a. Mengidentifikasi masalah
Masalah-masalah dalam organisasi biasanya cukup banyak, terkadang
bercampur dengan berbagai masalah lain sehingga terlihat sulit dan
seolah-olah tidak dapat terselesaikan.

b. Merumuskan Masalah
Seorang pemimpin harus tanggap dan sensitif terhadap masalah yang muncul dalam
organisasinya. Langkah ini merupakan yang paling kritis dalam pengambilan keputusan
karena jelas atau tidaknya rumusan masalah akan mempengaruhi pemahaman anggota
organisasi dalam proses pengambilan keputusan.

c. Menentukan Alternatif
Untuk langkah ini perlu diingat faktor yang menyebabkan timbulnya masalah dan
hal yang berkenaan dengan hadirnya masalah yang akan dipecahkan. Dari
beberapa alternatif yang ada, harus dipilih satu alternatif yang paling tepat untuk
dijadikan keputusan.

d. Mengidentifikasi Konsekuensi dari Pengambilan Keputusan Setiap

Alternatif
Antisipatif terhadap akibat dari pemilihan alternatif ini barangkali merupakan
aspek yang paling menyulitkan dalam pemecahan masalah. Dalam hal ini banyak
faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan.

e. Memilih Alternatif Yang Baik

Apabila sudah dipertimbangkan mengenai antisipasi terhadap akibat
yang mungkin timbul disebabkan karena pengambilan alternatif yang
diajukan, seorang pemimpin organisasi sebaiknya selalu membuat
pertimbangan untuk dijadikan sebagai pemecah masalah.

f. Evaluasi
Setelah alternatif dilaksanakan, bukan berarti proses pengambilan keputusan
telah selesai. Pelaksanaan alternatif harus terus diamati apakah sesuai
dengan apa yang diharapkan atau tidak. Bila langkah-langkah pelaksanaan
telah dilakukan dengan benar tetapi hasil yang dicapai tidak maksimal, maka
sudah waktunya untuk mempertimbangkan kembali pemilihan alternatif
lainnya.
