Kalimat ini terdiri dari 2 bagian: 1.

Main Clause (Induk kalimat): bagian kalimat oyang dapat berdiri sendiri karena telah memiliki subjek dan predikat. 2. Sub-ordinat Clause/ If Clause (Anak kalimat): bagian kalimat yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri/ harus melekat pada induk kalimat.

Pola Kalimat :

FUTURE TENSE PRESENT SIMPLE

Adalah kalimat pengandaian yang sulit menjadi kenyataan karena berlawanan dengan kondisi pada saat ini (Kemungkinan sangat kecil terjadi). Pola Kalimat :

ATTENTION

Jika pada anak kalimat (if clause) menggunakan tobe, maka menggunakan were Walaupun subjeknya singular
Example: I would help her if she were my friend. Singular

Adalah kalimat pengandaian yang tidak mungkin menjadi kenyataan karena berlawanan dengan kenyataan di masa lampau (tidak mungkin terjadi). Pola Kalimat :

Example: I would have called her if i had known her name Kenyataannya: I didnt call her because I dont know her name
