A student carried out an experiment to determine the melting point of substance X.


The student placed approximately 5.0 g of solid substance X into a boiling tube before placing the boiling tube
and its contents into a hot water bath.
The thermometer reading is recorded at 30 seconds intervals until the temperature of the substance reaches
80C.
Diagram below shows the thermometer readings.
Seorang pelajar menjalankan suatu eksperimen untuk menentukan takat lebur bahan X.
Pelajar tersebut meletakkan kira-kira 5.0 g pepejal bahan X ke dalam satu tabung didih sebelum meletakkan
