Background: Preeclampsia is a condition that could potentially lead to multiorgan dysfunction and failure that can life-threatening maternal and infant. The
gravity of maternal and fetus forced us to terminate the pregnancy, the action to
begin this state is referred to induction of labor. Induction of labor with
misoprostol known has a worth success rate. This study aims to see the
prevalence of successful induction of labor with misoprostol vaginally on severe
preeclampsia based on parity.
Method: This study is a descriptive research in the form of case series on 55
patients with aterm severe preeclampsia induced by misoprostol pervaginam
using secondary data from medical record in Department of Obstetrics and
Gynecologist RSMH Palembang.
Result:(1)The prevalence of induction success: nuliparous (46.43%), primiparous
(53.85%), multiparous (78,57%). (2) The proportion of using misoprostol is 51,40%.
(3)The distribution of parity: nulliparous(50,91%), primiparous(23,64%), multiparous
(25,45%).(4) The distribution of dosage 50 g most on nuliparous (64.28%).
Distribution of dosage 25 g: nuliparous(35,71%), primiparous(100%), multiparous
(100%). (5)The distribution of in partu within 12 hours: primiparous (53,84%),
nuliparous (71,43%), multiparous (78,57%). (6) The distribution of in partu within 12
hours: 25 g dose group (68,42%), 50 g dose group (66,67%). (7) The distribution of
oxytocin acceleration: nuliparous (50%), primiparous(53,84%), multiparous(78,57%).
(8) The distribution of oxytocin acceleration: 25 g dose group (67,56%), 50 g dose
group (38,89%). (9) Percentage of spontaneous labor: nuliparous(25%),
primiparous(38,46%), multiparous(78,57%). (10) The distribution of delivery methods
on 25 g dose group: spontaneous (51,35%), vaginal operative(13,51%), caesarean
section(35,14%); 50 g dose group: spontaneous (22,22%), vaginal operative
(16,67%), caesarean section(61,11%).(11 ) The prevalence of uterine rupture is 0% .
(12) The prevalence of Low Apgar Score at 1 minute is 7,27% .
Conclusion: The highest prevalence of successful was found in multiparous , with
the second and third are primiparous and nuliparous. In multiparous are more
likely in partu within 12 hours , more in need of oxytocin , and more vaginally
birth. Doses of 25 and 50 is not much different in achieving in partu , but low
doses greater need oxytocin , and more vaginally birth .
