ECOLOGY AND MORPHOLOGICAL OF BENTHIC HABITAT USING
HIGH RESOLUTION IMAGERY ON KEMUJAN ISLAND
KARIMUNJAWA RESORT CENTRAL JAVA PROVINCE
ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to represent the appearance of the landscape
under water benthic habitat on the island of Kemujan, Karimunjawa, using high
resolution multispectral imagety. The reprsentation can be further used for the
purposes of management of coastal areas and small islands.
With the growing and intensive human activity in coastal areas that have
the benthic habitat, the information becomes a fundamental requirement and
important, benthic habitat landscape information presented in this study is the
morphological variation and ecology of benthic habitat variation, multispectral
remote sensing imagery used is Worldview-2.
Morphological variation of benthic habitat is obtained through visual
interpretation of original color composite image.Variations ecology of benthic
habitat mapped through the integration of field data and digital image processing
from Worldview-2, which includes geometric correction, radiometric correction,
transformation and rotation data, and multispectral classification. Ecological
parameters of macro and detail accuracy is tested by using independent sample
before integrated.
The result is a map of morphology, ecology maps, maps of eco-
morphological class of major and detail ecology. From the results of this study
demonstrate the value overall classification accuracy on multispectral ecology of
58.61% for the major classes and 50.43% for the class of detail, both use the
maximum likelihood method. 9 classes of morphological classes exist in the area,
while the eco-morphological classes total is 178 class with a morphological class
of deglint image results, and 147 classes with class image morphology of PCA 345.
