Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal perlu malakukan pembenahan
terhadap aspek-aspek yang mempengaruhi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Aspek- aspek yang paling dominan adalah guru dan siswa. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pemilihan metode mengajar yang tepat, strategi belajar mengajar maupun manajemen kelas yang baik. Salah satunya menggunakan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientifik dan Contextual. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana hasil belajar matematika sebelum menggunakan metode pembelajaran Problem Bassed Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Contextual pada materi segiempat siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Sukomoro Tahun Pelajaran 2014/1015? (2) Bagaimana hasil belajar matematika sebelum menggunakan metode pembelajaran Problem Bassed Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Constextual pada materi segiempat siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Sukomoro Tahun Pelajaran 2014/1015? (3) Apakah dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Bassed Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Constextual pada materi segiempat dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 1 Sukomoro Tahun Pelajaran 2014/1015? Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah kuantitatif eksperimental. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukomoro tahun pelajaran 2014/ 2015 yang terdiri dari kalas VII-A sampai kelas VII-G. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VII-F. dalam penelitian ini nilai rata-rata sebelum penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Contextual adalah 68,40 yang dikategorikan cukup baik. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata sesudah penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Contextual adalah 79,03 yang dapat dikategorikan baik. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah uji-t. Untuk mengetahui taraf signifikasi nilai thitung hasil penelitian maka perlu dibadingkan dengan nilai ttabel. Pada taraf signifikan 5%, thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,736 > 1,699 dan pada taraf signifikan 1%, thitung > ttabel yaitu 3,736 > 2,462 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Artinta : Ada peningkatan hasil belajar setelah penerapan metode pembelajaran Problem Based Instruction (PBI) melalui pendekatan Scientific dan Contextual pada materi segiempat siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Sukomoro Tahun Pelajaran 2014/ 2015.

Education plays an important role in improving the quality of human
resources. In an effort to improve the quality of education, the school as a formal educational instituion need to make improvements to the aspects that affect the improvement of the quality of education. These aspects are the most dominannt teachers and students. Therefore, the teacher as the central teaching should be able to understand the things associated with good teaching and learning processes in learning techniques, the selection of appropriate teaching methods, teaching and learning strategies as well as good classroom management. One of them is using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) method with Scientific and Contextual approach. The problem formulation of this research were (1). How to results of matematics learning before using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach of mathematics learning in rectangular of seven grade students SMPN 1 Sukomoro in Academic Year 2014/2015? (2). How to results of matematics learning after using Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach of mathematics learning in rectangular of seven grade students SMPN 1 Sukomoro in Academic Year 2014/2015 (3) Are Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach in rectangular can results increase of seven grade students SMPN 1 Sukomoro in Academic Year 2014/2015? Types of quantitative research is experimental. The study population was all students in grade seven SMPN 1 Sukomoro which amounted to class VII-A to class VII-G. While the sample is class VII-F SMPN 1 Sukomoro Academic Year 2014/2015. In this study the average value before the application of Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach is 68.40 can be considered quite good. While the average value after the application of Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach is 79.03 can be considered good. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. To find significant thitung research results need to be compared with the value ttabel. At significant level of 5%, thitung > ttable that is 3.736> 1.699 and at significant 1%, thitung> ttabel that is 3.736> 2.462 so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. The meaning is: "There is an increase in learning outcomes after the implementation of Problem Based Instruction (PBI) Method With Scientific and Contextual approach to results increase of mathematics learning in rectangular of seven grade students UPTD SMPN 1 Sukomoro in academic year 2014/2015".
