Pada masa sekarang, muncul berbagai argument yang menyatakan bawah dengan bermain game dapat

menstimulus kemampuan berkomunikasi yang dimiliki seseorang, yang kemudian oleh Huyen dan Nga
(2003) dilakukan sebuah penelitian pada beberapa siswa dengan memberikan sebuah permainan game.
Hasil dari penelitian tersebut adalah para siswa tampak lebih cepat memahami dan mempertahankan
materi pelajaran dalam lingkungan yang bebas stress dan nyaman. Selain itu, siswa yang terlibat dalam
penelitian mengakui bahwa Bahasa Inggris yang digunakan dalam game membantu mereka dalam
menyelesaikan tugas sekolah mereka. Kemampuan siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris dapat
disebabkan karena telah terbiasa dengan kata-kata dan kalimat yang ditampilkan dalam game, berupa
petunjuk–petunjuk dan peraturan yang ada sehingga pemain dapat menyelesaikan game tersebut. Oleh
karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dari penggunaan online
game terhadap kemampuan berbahasa Inggris , terutama pada rentang usia antara 15 sampai usia 25
tahun. jenis dari online game yang menjadi fokus pada penelitian ini adalah Multiplayer Online Battle
Arena and battle royale

research admit that English used in games helps them to complete their schoolwork. The ability of

students to learn English can be caused by being accustomed to the words and sentences displayed in

the game, in the form of instructions and rules so that players can finish the game. Therefore, this study

was conducted to find out how much influence the use of online games on English language skills,

especially in the age range between 15 to 25 years. the types of online games that are the focus of this

research are Multiplayer Online Battle Arena and Battle Royale

However, MOBA games can have other victory conditions, such as defeating every player on the enemy
team. Player characters typically have set of unique abilities that improve over the course of a game and
which contribute to a team's overall strategy. Multiplayer online battle arena games are a fusion of real-
time strategy, role-playing, and action games, though MOBA players usually do not construct buildings
or units, and there are examples of MOBA games that will research on this study, such as Mobile
egend(2016), and Dota 2 (2013). The genre has become a big part of the esports category.

A battle royale game is an online multiplayer video game genre that blends the survival, exploration, and
scavenging elements of a survival game with last-man-standing gameplay. Battle royale games involve
dozens to hundreds of players, who start with minimal equipment and then must eliminate all other
opponents while avoiding being trapped outside of a shrinking "safe area", with the winner being the
last player or team alive. The name for the genre is taken from the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale,
which presents a similar theme of a last-man-standing competition in a shrinking play zone
