Ketentuan Umum National English Festival 2019

• Peserta lomba adalah siswa/i SMP, MTS, SMA, SMK, MA dan sederajat serta Mahasiswa/i
dari berbagai jurusan yang terdaftar dan berstatus aktif pada sekolah atau kampus baik
Negeri maupun Swasta di seluruh wilayah Indonesia yang dibuktikan dengan kartu
identitas pelajar/mahasiswa.
• Setiap peserta hanya boleh mengukuti SATU jenis lomba saja.
• Peserta yang telah terdaftar dan telah mengisi formulir TIDAK dapat digantikan oleh
peserta lain.
• Jika peserta yang telah terdaftar tidak hadir pada saat pelaksanaan lomba, maka dinyatakan
mengundurkan diri atau DIDISKUALIFIKASI.
• Peserta/pendamping WAJIB menghadiri technical meeting (TM) yang akan
dilaksanakan pada 12 Oktober 2019 di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan,
Universitas Islam Malang.
• Peserta/pendamping yang tidak menghadiri technical meeting (TM) dianggap menyetujui
segala peraturan dan ketentuan yang disepakati bersama pada saat technical meeting (TM).
• Daftar ulang dapat dilakukan pada saat TM.
• Peserta wajib hadir 15 menit sebelum waktu tampil.
• Peserta dinyatakan GUGUR jika peserta tidak ada setelah namanya dipanggil sebanyak 3
kali.
• Peserta dilarang keras membawa supporter kedalam area perlombaan.
• Peserta diharuskan mengenakan ID card sepanjang kegiatan perlombaan.
• Peserta TIDAK DIPERBOLEHKAN meninggalkan ruang perlombaan ketika menunggu
giliran perform (untuk menghindari diskualifikasi jika peserta tidak hadir setelah dipanggil
3 kali).
• Pengumuman juara setiap cabang perlombaan diumumkan pada saat penutupan acara
National English Festival (NEF) 2019 di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan,
Universitas Islam Malang.
• Sertifikat pendamping maksimal hanya untuk 2 (dua) orang dari setiap lembaga
pendidikan.
• Keputusan juri bersifat MUTLAK dan TIDAK dapat diganggu gugat.
• Uang pendaftaran peserta yang sudah ditransfer TIDAK dapat di kembalikan.

ENGLISH OLYMPIAD
A. General Rules of English Olympiad
Olympiad is a competition where participants are asked to do a multiple-choice test. This
Olympiad will be held in each branch city for the elimination round, and the semifinal and the
final round will be held in UNISMA.
The Elimination Round will be held on October 20th 2019 in each branch city. The Semi
Final and Final Round will be conducted on October 25th 2019 in UNISMA (University of
Islam Malang).
*Terms & Conditions: The committee sets a minimum number of 30 participants for each
city. If there is one city that is less than 30 then participants in that city, the participants’
SCORE will be calculated with branch which also does not meet the minimum sets.

SEMI-FINAL ROUND  Participants are given 80 minutes to answer 75

questions.
 The highest score of 40 participants will join the final
round

 Friday, 25 October 2019

 Conducted in University of Islam Malang
 Participants are given 75 minutes to answer 75
FINAL ROUND questions.
 6 participants which will be the winner in each level
are going to be announced in the closing ceremony 26
October 2019

B. Specific Rules
• The participants must wear their uniform while test.
• The participants must bring stationery (Pencil, eraser, boards and etc.).
• There will be committee in the class during test.
• The participants are not allowed to open the question sheet before the committee gives the
instruction.
• If participants leave exam room before the exam time over, the test should not be taken
out.
• If the participants disobey the regulation of the exam, he/she will be disqualified.
• During the exam, participants are not allowed to use mobile phones, personal computers
or any other electronic tools.

• The participants must write a complete identity and the serial number of the matter based
on the columns in the answer sheet
• Before doing the test, check the completeness of the test script.
• Replacement of the test script only can be done up to five minutes after the test begins.
• Each participant is provided with only one answer sheet.
• Questions consist of 3 aspects
• Reading
• Structure
• Vocabulary
• Scoring system
• The correct answer is scored +4 (Four)
• The wrong answer or filling more than one option scores -1 (minus one)
• A blank answer is scored 0 (zero)
• If the scores of the participants are same, the rank will be taken based on the grade of the
type of the questions
• Reading 50 %
• Grammar 30%
• Vocabulary 20%
• The committees’ decision is final and cannot be disputed.
• After the exam, the answer sheet and the script must be left in clean and not be folded.
• Everything is not listed in the general guidelines will be in prudence of committee.
