• Pada logam, inti-inti atom
menempati posisi tertentu terhadap
inti atom yang lain, maka dapat
dikatakan bahwa atom logam
tersusun menurut pola tertentu;
• Susunan yang teratur menurut pola
tertentu ini dinamakan kristal.
The relation between three-dimensional crystal families,
crystal systems, and lattice systems is shown in the
following table:
 Kisi Ruang (Space Lattice) :
Bila antar inti atom dihubungkan dengan garis-
garis imaginer, maka akan diperoleh kerangka
tiga dimensi yang disebut kisi ruang (space
lattice), yang tersusun dari sejumlah besar sel
satuan (unit cell ).
