 FENOMENA KOMUNIKASI HAJI ROBERT, NHM, KARYAWAN DAN
MASYARAKAT

Akhir-akhir ini PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals dan Hi. Robert Niticahyo Wachjo
mendapat perhatian dari masyarakat Maluku Utara. Robert, komisaris dari perusahaan
tambang tersebut gencar melakukan tindakan-tindakan sosial dengan aktif membantu kaum
miskin dan membagi beasiswa untuk mahasiswa, termasuk bantuan rumah ibadah untuk kaum
nasrani dan muslim di seputaran daerah tambang. Yang terakhir, orang kaya itu membantu
anak berpenyakit kronis di Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan. Robert, tidak hanya menanggung
biaya pengobatan untuk anak sakit itu, tetapi mengirimkan helikopter untuk menerbangkan si
sakit dari Halmahera Selatan ke Jakarta.

Perilaku dermawan dari pemilik NHM itu yang menarik perhatian masyarakat malut
mengigat jumlah uang yang di salurkan pak haji ini tidak sedikit jumlahnya, apalagi bukan
hanya atas nama perusahaan tetapi juga atas nama pribadinya. Tidak hanya itu, haji kaya itu
juga menjadi imam saat shalat di masjid kao hingga sempat memberi nasihat kepada beberapa
jamaah di masjid tentang islam. Karena itu ada yang mewacanakan di media sosial, kalau
sang komisaris itu patut diusung sebagai gubernur di 2024 nanti, di lain pihak ada yang
merespon kalau dirinya tidak sama sekali memikirkan itu dan hanya ingin membantu
masyarakat dengan ikhlas, mengigat apa yang telah di dapatinya dan perusahaan di tambang
sudah sangat besar, sehingga dirinya merasa patut memberikan bantuan tersebut dengan
mengurai pemberian perusahaannya untuk daerah dan untuk Negara yang sebesar tujuh
triliun. Haji Robert mungkin sangat percaya bahwa pada prinsipnya, semakin mirip latar
belakang sosial budaya akan semakin efektif komunikasi.
