Dalam rangka kerjasama dengan Pemerintah Gyeongsangbuk-do Korea Selatan,

Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat melalui Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa
Barat memberikan kesempatan kepada para peserta didik dan guru di Jawa Barat
untuk ikut berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan 2021 Global Youth Ocean Forum in
Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Kegiatan ini merupakan forum pertukaran anak muda di seluruh dunia yang
berfokus pada Lingkungan Laut yang akan dilaksanakan secara online pada 27 s.d 30
Juli 2021.
Peserta merupakan siswa sekolah menengah pada Juli 2021 dan mampu
berkomunikasi menggunakan bahasa inggris dan atau bahasa korea (syarat dan
ketentuan terlampir). Pendaftaran paling lambat hari Selasa, 18 Mei 2021 melalui link

Sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, mohon berkenan menyampaikan informasi ini
kepada peserta didik dan guru di masing-masing Wilayah Cabang Dinas Pendidikan
untuk berpartisipasi.

❍ Date and Location : July 27 ~ 30, 2021 in Gyeongsangbuk-do
❍ Theme: 「The Sea, the Beginning of a New Journey: Ocean Environment」
❍ Number of Participants : approx. 200
- Forum : 90 (15 teams * 6 (3 Koreans, 3 Foreigners))

❍ Qualifications for Participation:
- Korean Participants: 1st to 3rd grader in high school
- Overseas Participants: High school students (students at the time of the
forum in July, 2021.)
❍ Contents : Under the main theme of “Ocean Environment”, domestic
and foreign students select detailed topics, and conduct
various exchanges, such as team activities, presentations,
and experiences, by linking up both online and offline.

❑ Guide for Participants
❍ Participating Countries
- 6 ~ 7 countries (Korea, China, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, CIS, etc.)
※ Considering online real-time participation, only countries within a
two-hour time difference of KST will be able to participate.

❍ Type of Participation
- pre-exchange online (March ~ July)
- Overseas participants (online) during the forum
- Korean participants (offline) during the forum

❍ Team Formation:
- Students: 90 = 15 teams x 6 (3 Koreans 3 Foreigners)
- Advisor: One Korean and one foreign teacher per team (one
teacher can be in charge of two teams)

❍ Language: English (communication-oriented)

❍ Presentation: 10 minutes per team

❍ Additional Information:
- Completion certificates and souvenirs will be issued to all
participants, along with prizes for the winning team of the UCC
competition, etc
- Priority to participate in the 2022* forum will be granted to overseas
participants
* Offline forum is prioritized. Accommodation, meals, and all
experience-related expenses in Korea will be provided, free of charge.

❍ Team Matching Activity: After matching (~ July)

- Online exchange, using virtual platforms such as Zoom, will be
carried out after team matching
- Research and exchange of data related to the marine
environment, selection of presentation sub-themes, and
preparation of the presentation
❍ Orientation: in June
- Online orientation for all participants before the forum
- Team member introduction, sub-themes introduction, etc.
- Forum related notices, inquiries, suggestions, etc. (Assignment of
Interpreter, if required)

❍ Education Officals Forum: Domestic and overseas teachers and

education officials, etc.
- Separate inquiries for overseas personnel participation, and cases
related to marine education

❍ Cultural Festival & Closing Ceremony

- Sand art performance, Korean traditional dance, K-POP dance performance, etc.
- Screening of UCC Contest winners
- Outstanding group awards and commemorative photographs of the
competition, etc.

❍ Ocean experience activities: Ocean experience activities in Gyeongbuk

- Online real-time transmission of Korean students' experiences will
be conducted
