1. Command
a. Command Sentence
 Command merupakan kalimat yang tegas dan biasanya diakhiri dengan exclamation
(!) atau tanda seru karena sifatnya yang memerintahkan seseorang. Misalnya
'Listen!' atau 'Close the door!'
 Command digunakan untuk menyatakan keinginan dari pembicara kepada lawan
bicara
 Command dapat berupa sebuah larangan, misalnya: 'Don't swim too far!' atau 'Don't
step the grass!'
 Kalimat command selalu dalam bentuk Simple Present Tense, yang berarti selalu
menggunakan kata kerja bentuk pertama atau verb 1.
 Perintah yang lebih sopan boleh menggunakan kata please di akhir kalimat
b. Contoh
 Go away! (pergi sana!)
 Close the door! (tutup pintunya!)
 Listen to the teacher! (dengarkan guru!)
 Be careful! (hati-hati!)
 Be nice! (jadilah baik!)
 Be quite please! (tolong diam!)
 Don't touch me! (jangan sentuh aku!)
 Don't swim to far! (jangan berenang terlalu jauh!)
 Don't eat my foods! (jangan makan makananku!)
 Don't step on the grass! (jangan menginjak rumput!)
 Wash your hand!
 Open your book!
 Give your name!
 Dont step on my shoes!
 Dont get closer!

c. Positive
 Rumus : Menggunakan verb
V1 + Obj/Ket + !
Ex :
open your book !
wash your hands !
cut your hair !
give me money !
write your name !
 Rumus : Menggunakan adjective
Be + Adj + Obj/Ket + !
Ex :
be honest please !
be glad please !
be polite to his please !
be careful to drive a motorcycle !
 be diligent to study !
d. Negative
Rumus : Untuk menyatakan larangan atau " jangan " kita letakkan " don't " sebelum
verb maupun adjective.
Ex :
don't go there please !
don't close your book please !
don't give up !
don't be stupid !
don't be crazy !
2. Request
a. Request sentence
 Request adalah sebuah kalimat permohonan atau permintaan, dapat juga berbentuk
kalimat perintah namun bahasanya lebih halus dan tidak menggunakan exclamation
(!). Dapat diartikan kalimat ini lebih sopan.
 Request biasanya diawali dengan will, could, would, and may.
b. Contoh
 Would you like to help me?
 Would you mind to come to my house?
 Could you pass the salt over there, please?
 Could you take the garbage outside?
 Could you bring me the newspaper?
 Would you sing for me?
 Would you dance with me?
 Could you check my e-mails, please?
 Would you mind if I sit here?
 Could you please open the door?
 Would you like to introduce your self?
 Would you like to help me?
 Would you dance with me?

c. Request rumus
 Request adalah kalimat permintaan yang digunakan untuk meminta seseorang
melakukan sesuatu.
Rumus :
Will + You + V1 + Obj/Ket + Please + !
Note :
Will disini artinya " sudikah/maukah ". Dan untuk menyatakan yang lebih sopan kita
pakai " would you ".
Ex :
will you come to my party, please ?
will you borrow me money, please ?
will you help them ?
 would you close the door, please ?
would you sing a song for him, please ?
would you take me to my house, please ?
 Untuk menyatakan " baiklah " dalam menjawab kalimat permintaan kita gunakan :
yes, I will
all right
sure, I will
okey, I will
of course, I will
certainly, I will
 Untuk menyatakan " baiklah " dalam menjawab kalimat larangan dapat kita gunakan :

no, I won't
of course, I won't
all right, I won't
sure, I will not

Ex :
will you clise the door, please ?
all right

don't smoke here please !
