Biodata Kim Seok-jin

Kim Seok-jin (bahasa Korea: 김석진, lahir 4 Desember 1992) atau lebih dikenal dengan
mononimnya Jin, adalah seorang penyanyi, penulis lagu,[1][2] dan anggota grup BTS asal
Korea Selatan.[2] Sebagai seorang penulis lagu dia mempunyai lima lagu terakreditasi
namanya oleh Korea Music Copyright Association.[3]

Lahir dengan nama Kim Seok-jin pada tanggal 4 Desember, 1992 di Gwacheon, Gyeonggi,
Korea Selatan.[4]

Jin lulus dari Universitas Konkuk pada tanggal 22 Februari 2017 dan mendapat gelar di
bidang seni dan akting.[5] Kini, dia tengah menyelesaikan studi master di Universitas Hanyang
(Online class)

Jin mendapat tawaran untuk bergabung dengan SM Entertainment pada saat ia berumur 15
tahun oleh seseorang yang ditemuinya di jalan, namun dia tidak menerima tawaran tersebut.[7]

Pada saat Jin tengah belajar akting, dia ditemukan karena penampilannya oleh manager
casting dari BigHit dan diundang ke audisi Big Hit Entertainment.[8][9]

Jin debut sebagai salah satu dari empat vokalis BTS pada tanggal 13 Juni 2013 di Mnet's M
Countdown dengan lagu "No More Dream" dari album debut mereka, 2 Cool 4 Skool.[10]
Meskipun dia sudah pernah menulis lagu sebelumnya, dia pertama kali menjadi co-produser
untuk sebuah lagu solo dari album Wings berjudul "Awake" yang menempati posisi 31 di
tangga lagu Gaon dan posisi 6 di Billboard World Digital Singles Chart.[11] Pada Desember
2016, dia merilis "Awake" versi Natal di SoundCloud.[12]

Pada tanggal 9 Agustus 2018, sebuah trailer dirilis untuk album BTS yang akan datang,
dengan sebuah lagu berjudul "Epiphany". Lagu tersebut dideskripsikan sebagai sebuah
"pembangunan melodi pop-rock" oleh Billboard,[13] dan merupakan penampilan solo Jin,
dengan lirik yang menyentuh pada konsep penerimaan dan mencintai diri sendiri.

Kim Seok-jin (Korean: , born December 4, 1992) or better known by his mononym Jin, is a
singer, songwriter,[1][2] and member of the South Korean group BTS.[2] As a songwriter he
has five songs accredited to his name by the Korea Music Copyright Association.[3]

Born with the name Kim Seok-jin on December 4, 1992 in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi, South
Korea.[4]

Jin graduated from Konkuk University on February 22, 2017 and earned degrees in arts and
acting.[5] Now, he is completing his master's studies at Hanyang University (Online class)
Jin received an offer to join SM Entertainment when he was 15 years old by someone he met
on the street, but he did not accept the offer.[7]
While Jin was studying acting, he was discovered for his performance by the casting manager
of BigHit and was invited to audition for Big Hit Entertainment.[8][9]
Jin debuted as one of BTS' four vocalists on June 13, 2013 on Mnet's M Countdown with the
song "No More Dream" from their debut album, 2 Cool 4 Skool.[10] Although he had written
songs before, he first co-produced a solo song from the Wings album "Awake" which peaked
at number 31 on the Gaon chart and number 6 on the Billboard World Digital Singles Chart.
[11] In December 2016, he released a Christmas version of "Awake" on SoundCloud.[12]

On August 9, 2018, a trailer was released for BTS's upcoming album, with a song called
"Epiphany". The song is described as a "melodic pop-rock development" by Billboard,[13]
and is Jin's solo performance, with lyrics touching on the concepts of acceptance and self-
love.
