ABSTRAK
Era teknologi begitu dominan memasuki abad 20, hingga mengubah tatanan
bersosial hingga berpendidikan di era sekarang sampai ke masa depan. Penelitian
ini akan memotret proses pembelajaran online dengan menggunakan media
Whatsapp Group untuk menganalisis penerapannya hingga urgensitasnya pada
pelajaran Sejarah Pendidikan Islam. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini
menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-analitik.. Pembelajaran dilakukan secara
virtual dengan memanfaatkan Whatsapp Group (WAG). Pola pembelajaran online
memperlihatkan hilangnya batas ruang dan waktu dalam proses pembelajaran.
Guru dan Siswa dapat melaksanakan pembelajaran dimanapun dan kapanpun
selama ada kesepakatan mengenai waktu dan kesiapan. Pembelajaran Online
meningkatkan skill peserta didik maupun guru terhadap perkembangan teknologi,
sebab mereka dituntut pada situasi adaptif terhadap perkembangan global.
Adaptasi menjadi kunci utama bagi kompetensi sumber daya manusia di era
teknologi. Perubahan yang cepat mendorong semua elemen dunia pendidikan
untuk terus dapat meng-update self skill; untuk mau dan mampu belajar secara
terus menerus jika tidak ingin “ketinggalan jaman”.

ABSTRACT
The technological era was so dominant entering the 20th century, that it
changed the social order to be educated in the current era until the future. This
research will photograph the online learning process using Whatsapp Group
media to analyze its application to its urgency in learning the History of Islamic
Education. The methode research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-
analytical techniques. Learning is carried out virtually by utilizing Whatsapp
Group (WAG). Online learning patterns show the loss of space and time
boundaries in the learning process. Teachers and students can carry out
learning anywhere and anytime as long as there is agreement on time and
readiness. Online Learning improves the skills of students and teachers towards
technological developments, because they are required to be adaptive to global
developments. Adaptation is the main key to human resource competence
in the technological era. Rapid changes encourage all elements of the world of
education to continue to be able to update self-skills; to be willing and able to
learn continuously if you don't want to be "outdated".
