Periset diwajibkan memberikan informasi kepada Komisi Etik dan pihak yang
berkepentingan mengenai potensi konflik ataupun kepentingan yang dapat menimbulkan
ancaman terhadap integritas ilmiah dan etika periset. Komisi ini akan memutuskan apakah
konflik yang dapat ditimbulkan tersebut tidak bertentangan dengan etika riset.

Pengungkapan atas konflik kepentingan yang timbul dari riset, tidak berarti riset dianggap
tidak etis. Demikian juga dengan semakin banyaknya konflik kepentingan tidak berarti riset
tidak dapat diselenggarakan secara etis. Namun jika periset telah mengetahui potensi besar
konflik sebelum melakukan riset dan tidak disampaikan kepada Komisi ini maka riset
tersebut dianggap tidak etis.

Periset menilai sendiri apakah ada potensi konflik kepentingan dalam risetnya. Oleh karena
itu, periset menandatangani pernyataan berikut (pilih sesuai penilaian):

Researcher is required to provide information to the Ethics Committee and interested parties
regarding possibilities for conflict or interests that may pose a threat to the scientific integrity
and researchers’ ethics. This Committee will decide whether the conflict that may arise is not
against research ethics.

Disclosure of conflicts of interest arising from research does not mean that the research is
considered unethical. As well with the increasing number of conflicts of interest does not
mean that the research cannot be ethically conducted. However, if the researcher was aware
of the potential for conflict prior to conducting the research and it was not informed to this
Committee, then the research is considered unethical.

Researchers judge whether there is a potential conflict of interest in their research. Therefore,
the researchers sign the following statements (choose according to judgment):
