RULES FOR PLURAL AND REGULAR
• Untuk kata benda yang berakhiran –s. –x. Ch-, etc. (Benda bukan buatan
manusia) ditambah –es
• Untuk kata benda berakhiran –y dan sebelum –y adalah konsonan maka diubah
menjadi I dan ditambah es
• Untuk kata benda selain aturan diatas cukup tambah S
COUNTABLE AND NONCOUNTABLE NOUNS
• Countable noun adalah kata benda yang bisa dipasangkan dengan angka.

• Noncountable Nouns sebaliknya, tidak bisa dihitung persatuan angka biasanya

makanan, minuman, cairan, bahan yang dapat berubah bentuk, abstrak,
permainan, dan subjek penelitian

EXERCISE
Put the noun in bracket into the correct plural form!
Example :

NOUN AS SUBJECT

Noun sebagai subject bisa didampingi dengan determiners (an, an, the), namun bisa
juga tidak. Tergantung subject yang digunakan. 
E.g.:
Rudi is sleeping
A bike has stolen yesterday
His cafe serves coffee
NOUN AS SUBJECT AND OBJECT COMPLEMENT
 Subject complement
Subject complement adalah complement yang merujuk pada subject dalam suatu kalimat.
Biasanya complement berbentuk noun atau kata benda yang diletakan setelah linking verb.
E.g.:
Brian became a writer after his wife passed.
Her father was a famous football player
I am the chairman of this company
 Obejct complement
Object complement hampir mirip dengan subject complement. Kalau subject complement
menerangkan subject, sedangkan object complement berfungsi menerangkan direct object.
Biasanya direct object berbentuk noun atau kata benda.
E.g.:
Rudi brought Lizzie a flower
Barbara cooks a chicken for Dylan
Fitra gives his son a bike
NOUN AS SUBJECT PREPOSITION
Salah satu fungsi utama dari noun atau kata benda yaitu menyatakan tempat. Nah,
biasanya kita membutuhkan preposisi untuk menerangkan tempat. Preposisi
adalah kata depan seperti in, on, at.
E.g.:
My cat loves to play in a large box.
I learned English at MEC.
The toilet is on the first floor.
