Optimasi Squid Proxy Server

Optimasi squid proxy server membuat akselerasi web browser meningkat dan lebih responsif, caranya kita meningkatkan TCP HIT melalui modifikasi cache memory, object size dan peningkatan kapasitas cache directory. Misalkan kita memiliki server proxy dengan RAM 1GigaByte dan Hardisk 40GByte, maka konfigurasi squid.conf sebagai berikut:

#Jumlah maksimum satu object dalam memory 8MByte #satu tampilan HTML / frontpage dihitung satu object maximum_object_size_in_memory 8000 KB memory_replacement_policy lru cache_replacement_policy lru #Jumlah penyimpanan cache squid yang kita gunakan 50% dari total hardisk #20000MByte = 20GByte cache_dir ufs /var/spool/squid 20000 16 256 #Jumlah maksimum object size kita tingkatkan menjadi 400MByte #Jadi kalau kita download file lebih dari 400MByte tidak akan disimpan pada squid minimum_object_size 0 KB maximum_object_size 409600 KB #Nilai default swap cache_swap_low 90 cache_swap_high 95

Settingan sudah cukup disini. Langkah terakhir restart squid dan kemudian lihat lognya dengan cara.
