PERANCANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN INTERAKTIF


PENGENALAN GERAK TARI TOPENG MALANGAN

Tari Topeng Malangan merupakan seni pertunjukan tari tradisional dengan latar
belakang religius yang tumbuh disekitar masyarakat daerah Malang, Jawa Timur.
Saat ini keberadaan sanggar kesenian tari Topeng Malangan sudah mulai sulit
ditemukan. Selain sulitnya menemukan sanggar tari Topeng Malangan termasuk
di daerah asalnya, juga minat masyarakat khususnya remaja di daerah Malang
untuk mempelajari tarian ini semakin jarang. Hal ini mengakibatkan semakin
terpuruknya kesenian ini dan kalah dengan ragam pertunjukan modern. Dalam
mempelajari tari Topeng Malangan, kegiatan pembelajaran tari secara
konvensional membutuhkan tempat belajar khusus, yaitu sanggar tari yang
umumnya jauh dari pusat kota Malang. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, diperlukan
media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan sebagai solusi alternatif untuk
mengenal dan mempelajari tari Topeng Malangan, salah satunya menggunakan
metode simulasi dengan memanfaatkan teknologi dan edukasi. Fokus
pembelajaran gerak tarian adalah tari Topeng Patih yang memiliki struktur solah
baku yang secara konsep merupakan abstraksi seluruh gerak baku pada tokoh
Topeng Malangan yang lain. Hasil dari perancangan ini adalah media interaktif
simulasi mengenai pembelajaran gerak dasar tari Topeng Patih dengan
menggunakan media kinect.

INTRODUCTION TO MOTION DANCE OF TOPENG MALANGAN

Topeng Malangan dance is a traditional dance performing arts with a religious


background that grow around the people of Malang, East Java. Currently, the
Topeng Malangan's art studio is already hard to find. Besides of the difficulty of
finding a studio of Topeng Malangan dance, the public interest especially young
generation to learn the dance is increasingly rare. As a result, this art is getting
worse and lost with a variety of modern performance. In studying Topeng
Malangan dance, the conventional learning methods activities also need for
special schools, which is a dance studio that is generally away from downtown
Malang. To solve this, is required a media that can be used as an alternative
solution to know and learn Topeng Malangan dance, one of them by using the
simulation method utilizing the technology and education. The focus of dance
learning is the Topeng Patih dance which has the structure of raw solah that
the concept is an abstraction of whole movement on the other Topeng Malangan
figures. The results of this design is the interactive media simulation of the basic
motion learning of Topeng Patih dance using kinect media.

Tari Topeng Malangan is a traditional dance performance art with a religious
background which grew up around people in Malang City, East Java. Presently, art
gallery of Tari Topeng Malangan has been difficult to be found. In addition to the
difficulty of finding this art gallery even in the regions of origin, the problems is
also about the interest and enthusiastic public, especially teenagers in Malang to
learn this dance is still very rare. As a result, this art is slowly deteriorated and
increasingly falling by the presence of various modern performances. In regarded
to learn Tari Topeng Malangan, the conventional learning activities requiring a
special place such as a dance studio that is generally located far away from
downtown Malang. Thus to overcome this problem is requires an instructional
media that can be used as an alternative solution to learn and obtain information
about Tari Topeng Malangan, one way may be able to use the simulation method
by utilizing the technology and education. The focus of learning the dance
movement is Tari Topeng Patih, which has the structure solah with the basic
concept is an abstraction of raw motion for all of the other characters of Tari
Topeng Malangan. The results of the design is the interactive media learning and
simulation for basic motion of Tari Topeng Patih by using Kinect media.
