Deskripsi Mikroskopis
Pada sayatan tipis dengan kode batuan 3 menggunakan perbesaran okuler 10x dan objektif 10x, dijumpai
mineral berupa Magnetite, Pyroxene, Plagioklas, Masa Dasar, Alkali Feldspar.Tekstur Hipokristalin,
Inequigranular (porritik), bentuk mineral subhedral dan anhedral.

Deskripsi Mineral
a. Magnetit (10%) : Gelap pada keadaan PPL dan XPL, bentuk equant dan memiliki relief yang tinggi
b. Pyroxene (25%) : Dalam keaddaan PPL, colorless, bentuk prismatik belahan 1 arah disertai dengan
pecahan.Dalam keadaan XPL BF 0,033, orde 2, tanpa kembaran, orientasi lenght slow, pemadaman miring.
c. Plagioklas (50%) : Pada keadaan PPL, Plagioklas bewarna putih/tidak bewarna. Relief sedang tanpa
pleokroisme, bentuk prismatik subhedral - euhedral. Pada kenampakan XPL, BF 0,008 dengan warna
interverensi putih orde 1. Pemadaman miring, kembaran Albit.
d. Masa Dasar (12%) : Masa Dasar pada sayatan tipis tersebut berupa mineral plagioklas dan mineral opak
yang berukuran kecil
e. Alkali Feldspar ( 3% ) : Pada keadaan PPL, colorless, relief rendah, be;ahan 1 arah. Dalam keadaan XPL,
Birefringce 0,009, kuning cerah, pemadaman miring, lenght slow, kembaran calsbar.

Plagioklas ( P ) = 34,25%

Mineral yang digunakan dalam penamaan yaitu Alkali Feldspar dan Plagioklas dalam sayatan tipis tersebut
Alkali Feldspar : 2,25
Plagiklas : 34,25
Jumlah : 36,50
Sehingga Nilai yang didapatkan yaitu:
Alkali Feldspar : 6,16%
Plagioklas : 93,83%

Setelah dilakukan ploting berdasarkan mineral Alkali Feldspar dan Plagioklas pada sayatan tipis tersebut termasuk
dalam Diorite, Gabro, Anorthosite
Sehingga untuk membedakannya berdasarkan indeks M ( color index )
Maka, dikarekan kan nilai M > 35 makan nama batuan tersebut adalah Gabro

Nama Batuan : Gabro

Petrogenesa :
Pada sayatan tipis dengan kode 3 memiliki kenampakan mineral dengan ukuran >3mm sehingga masuk
dalam batuan plutonik. kemudian setelah melakukan perhitungan dengan menggunakan diagram QAPF
didapatkan nama batuan tersebut adalah Gabro.Beerdasarkan tekstur pada mineral dalam sayatan tipis
tersebut memperlihatkan kenampakan porritik, yang merupakan tekstur batuan beku dimana kristal besar
( fenokris ) tertanam dalam masa dasar kristal yang lebih halus. dengan ini dapat di identikasi bahwa batuan
tersebut terbentuk di dalam ( plutonik ) sehingga mineral yang ada dalam pengamatan tersebut berukuran
besar besar atau >3 mm.
