Forests are land that which consists of various plants that form an
ecosystem and interdependence. The research was conducted in Ranjuri
Forest Education Area, Beka Village, Marawola District, Sigi Regency in
January 2017. This aim of this research were to identify tree species in the
Ranjuri Forest Education Area and to develop research results as learning
media. This research used explorative method with survey technique. The
sampling of tree species was done by observing, identifying and taking
pictures (photographing) of each specimen encountered.
The results that obtained at the height of 400-500 masl were found 14 tree species
that identified and can be classified into 7 families, there are the Anacardiaceae
family (Dracontomelon dao (Blanco) Merr. & Rolfe and Mangifera minor L.), the
Apocynaceae family (Alstonia spectabilis R Bracelaceae (Ceiba pentandara (L.)
Gaertn.), Combretaceae family (Terminalia cattapa L.), the Fabaceae family
(Adenanthera pafonina L. and Cassia siamea Lamk.), the Moraceae family
(Artocarpus altilis Frost., Ficus Benjamina L., Ficus variegata Blume and
Streblus asper L.) and the Arecaceae family (Arenga pinnta (Wurmb) Merr.,
Cocos nucifera L., Corypha utan Lamk.)
