1 A group of students carried out an experiment to study the effect of enzyme


concentration on the activity of salivary amylase .

Sekumpulan pelajar sedang menjalankan eksperimen untuk mengkaji kesan kepekatan


enzim ke atas aktiviti amilase saliva.

Diagram 1.1 shows the method used by the students. Set the time at one minute
intervals to transfer a drop of mixture from C into groove tile until the yellow color of
iodine solution in the groove remain unchanged. The time taken for the hydrolysis of 1%
starch to be completed is shown in Table 1.

Rajah 1.1 menunjukkan kaedah yang digunakan oleh pelajar. Masa ditetapkan selang
satu minit untuk memindahkan satu titik campuran C ke atas bekas marmar, sehingga
warna kuning iodine kekal tidak berubah. Masa yang diambil untuk melengkapkan
hidrolisis 1% kanji ditunjukkan di dalam Jadual 1.

The whole experiment in Diagram 1.1 was carried out using different concentration of
salivary amylase which is 0.5%, 1.0 % and 1.5%. Table 1.1 shows the results of the
experiment.

Keseluruhan eksperimen pada Rajah 1.1 dijalankan dengan menggunakan kepekaran


amilase saliva yang berbeza iaitu 0.5%, 1.0% dan 1.5%.Rajah 1.1 menunjukkan
keputusan eksperimen tersebut.

Section B

1. Water is very important to plants. It can be lost by evaporation from the plants to the
atmosphere. This is called transpiration. Light intensity is one of the factors that can
affect the rate of transpiration.

Based on the above information, design a laboratory experiment to study the effect of
light intensity on the rate of transpiration in Hibiscus sp.

The planning or your experiment must include the following aspects:

Air adalah sangat penting kepada tumbuhan. Ia boleh hilang melalui sejatan daripada
tumbuhan ke atmosfera. Ini dipanggil sebagai transpirasi. Keamatan cahaya
merupakan satu faktor yang dapat mempengahruhi kadar transpirasi.

Berdasarkan maklumat di atas, reka bentuk satu eksperimen makmal untuk mengkaji
