Diagram 1.1 shows the method used by the students. Set the time at one minute
intervals to transfer a drop of mixture from C into groove tile until the yellow color of
iodine solution in the groove remain unchanged. The time taken for the hydrolysis of 1%
starch to be completed is shown in Table 1.

The whole experiment in Diagram 1.1 was carried out using different concentration of
salivary amylase which is 0.5%, 1.0 % and 1.5%. Table 1.1 shows the results of the
experiment.
