Abstrak
Diabetes Mellitus tipe 2 (DM 2) merupakan penyakit yang menyerang 9 juta penduduk Indonesia
(Riskesdas, 2013). DM 2 banyak menimbulkan komplikasi baik secara akut maupun kronis. Salah satu
komplikasi yang sering ditimbulkan adalah infeksi. Celullitis merupakan penyakit infeksi bakteri pada kulit yang
sering terjadi dengan DM tipe 2 menjadi salah satu faktor komorbid. Berikut merupakan laporan kasus seorang
pria usia produktif (46 tahun) dengan prolonged celullitis dengan faktor komorbid DM 2 yang dirawat inap.
Pasien mengalami celullitis pada regio cruris kiri selama 3 minggu. Riwayat pasien sebelum rawat inap sempat
diobati rawat jalan dengan antibiotik gentamycin salep dan ciprofloxacin 2x500 mg selama 1 minggu namun
tidak membaik. Pemeriksaan laboratorium didapatkan gula darah sewaktu (GDS) 409 g/dl. Selama di RS pasien
mendapat terapi farmakologis Metronidazol dan Ceftriaxon sebagai antibiotik, insulin Levemir dan Novorapid
sebagai kontrol glukosa, serta medikasi NaCl dan salep Mupirocin setiap hari. Pasien dipulangkan dengan
kondisi membaik setelah 10 hari perawatan.

Abstract
Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (DM 2) is a disease that attacks 9 million Indonesian population (Riskesdas, 2013). DM 2 causes
many complications both acute and chronic. Complication that is often caused is infection. Celullitis is a bacterial
infectious disease of the skin that often occurs with type 2 DM being one of the co-morbid factors. The following is a case
report of a man of productive age (46 years) with prolonged celullitis with comorbid DM 2 factors which was hospitalized.
The patient developed celullitis in the left cruris regio for 3 weeks. History of the patient before hospitalization was treated
with outpatient antibiotics ointment gentamycin and ciprofloxacin 2x500 mg for 1 week but did not improve. Laboratory
tests obtained when blood sugar (GDS) 409 g / dl. While in the hospital the patient received pharmacologic therapy with
Metronidazole and Ceftriaxon as antibiotics, Levemir and Novorapid insulin as glucose control, as well as NaCl and
Mupirocin ointment medication every day. The patient was discharged with improved condition after 10 days of treatment.
