dengan beberapa hewan, diketahui bahwa zeta cypermethrin ini tidak menimbulkan efek
teratogenik, mutagenik, karsinogenik maupun genomik. Studi yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui
efel karsinogenik dilakukan dengan memaparkan 10-30 ppm zeta cypermethrin ke tikus betina.
Dan hasilnya selama 2 tahun tidak ditemui adanya efek karsinogenik.

12. Informasi Ekologi

Data lingkungan :
Secara fisik dan lingkungan, sifat toksikologi zeta cypermethrin memiliki sifat yang kurang lebih
sama dengan cypermethrin. Pada umumnya cypermethrin dapat didegradasi ditanah dengan
waktu paruh 2-4 minggu. Bahan aktif ini terhidrolisis dibawah kondisi normal (pH=9), tetapi pada
kondisi dibawah asam dan netral, hidrolisis waktu paruh sekitar 20-29 hari. Cypermethrin memiliki
afinitas organic yang tinggi dan biokonsentrasi yang rendah (BCF = 17) dan itu tidak bergerak di
tanah.

Efek ekotoksikologi :
Zeta cypermethrin sangat beracun untuk ikan dan arthropod perairan dan nilai LC50 yang
diketahui berkisar antar 0.002 µg/L – 2.37 µg/L.
Nilai ini dibandingkan dengan cypermethrin pada LD50 oral lebih besar yaitu 10.248 mg/ kg.

13. Pertimbangan Pemusnahan

Masukkan wadah bekas dan sisa produk ke dalam wadah khusus kemudian tutup dan beri label.
Musnahkan bahan-bahan tersebut dengan cara membakar ke dalam incenerator sesuai
dengan peraturan pemusnahan yang ada. Bila dalam jumlah banyak, hubungi
produsen/supplier.

Kemasan kosong: tidak dapat digunakan kembali dan kondisi kemasan harus bersih. Pencucian
kemasan ini harus dilakukan berulang atau sampai 3 kali pencucian dan didaur ulang dengan
menggunakan incinerator. Jangan memotong kemasan kaleng. Aroma yang tercium dapat
menyebabkan potensi bahaya.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

Eye contact Hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15 to 20 minutes. Remove
contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a
poison control center or doctor for further treatment advice.

Skin contact Take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20

Inhalation Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 911 or an ambulance, then give

exposure to aromatic hydrocarbons may cause headaches, dizziness, loss of sensations or
feelings (such as numbness), and liver and kidney damage.

Carcinogenicity Cypermethrin cause an increase in benign lung tumors in mice, but not in rats, and was
negative for genotoxicity. EPA has classified Zeta-cypermethrin as a possible human
carcinogen based on this information, but does not regulate based on its low cancer risk.
Not recognized as carcinogenic by Research Agencies (IARC, NTP, OSHA, ACGIH).

Reproductive toxicity Zeta-cypermethrin: No toxicity to reproduction

Neurological Effects Cypermethrin is known to induce neuromuscular effects (i.e. gait abnormalities, tremors,
reduced motor activity, changes in functional observation battery parameters and
convulsions) in mammals, but does not generally induce neuropathologic lesions. These
clinical signs occurred following an acute exposure and appeared to be transient in
nature. Effects occurred via oral and inhalation exposure but not by the dermal exposure
route.
