verb yang digunakan is karena mengikuti subject-nya yang singular yaitu the key. Hati-hati dengan
penentuan subject-nya ya (bukan the doors)

2. Skill 21: Verbs harus menyesuaikan subject yang diselingi 'expressions of quantity'

Jika quantity yang tertulis all, most, some, half

maka

verbs mengikuti object setelah kata-kata tersebut

co:

1. All of the book was interesting

2. All of the books were interesting

Jadi penentuan verbs tergantung dengan kuantitas object setelah kata-kata tersebut ya (all, most, some,
half)

3. Skill 22: Verbs dalam kalimat 'inverted'

(question, negative. place, conditional, comparison) + V + S

co: Behind the house was the bicycle I wanted

Behind the house were the bicycles I wanted

Hati-hati dalam menentukan subject di kalimat inverted ya. Seperti bisa dilihat di contoh di atas, subject-
nya adalah the bicycle/the bicycles bukan the house

4. Skill 23: Verbs yang menyesuaikan beberapa kata tertentu

everybody is going to the theater

note: everybody adalah singular

Beberapa ekspresi yang merupakan singular: anybody, anyone, anything, everybody, everyone,
everything, nobody, no one, nothing, somebody, someone, something, each (+ noun), every (+noun)
