Good evening, people.
Back with me, Sandra Liem in Great News. This time we will be
delivering the news of traffic jam which often becomes a major problem
for big cities in Indonesia, including the capital city, Jakarta. On a typical
day the volume of vehicles is increasing, especially during the
long weekend. The congestion occurs in many parts of Jakarta, and
Kota Kasablanka has it worst.
The congestion is also followed by heavy rain that flushes the area and
the surroundings starting from this afternoon at 4 p.m. that affects the
congestion to get worse. Big rain also falls in the west part of Jakarta
and already causes flood. It’s flooded to a height of 30 cm and disrupts
the road users. It can be dangerous especially for motorcycle
riders. The police officers are going down to help with the traffic.
And that was the news for this evening,
Follow the next update in Great News one hour ahead. I am Sandra
Liem, good evening and see you.

Kemacetan juga diikuti hujan besar yang membasahi area sekitarnya

parah. Hujan besar juga turun di bagian barat Jakarta dan telah
menyebabkan banjir. Banjir sudah setinggi 30 cm dan mengganggu
pengguna jalan. Ini dapat membahayakan khususnya bagi pengguna
sepeda motor. Petugas kepolisian turut membantu mengatur lalu lintas.

Itulah berita untuk petang ini,

Ikuti pembaruan selanjutnya di Great News satu jam lagi. Saya Sandra
Liem, selamat malam dan sampai jumpa)

CONTOH TEKS REPORTER BERITA DALAM BAHASA INGGRIS

BESERTA ARTINYA.
Traffic Levels at the End of 2016
Studio : Good morning viewers. You watched Headline News on
Monday, 22nd December, 2016 at 08:00 am with me, Amelia Linton.
Headline News this time will preach news of traffic jam which often
becomes a major problem for big cities in England, not to mention
congestion in London area to Manchester which becomes subscription
of congestion. On a typical day the volume of vehicles already increases
and becomes crowded in this area, especially during the long holiday in
the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017. In the direction of London to
Manchester, the volume of vehicles looks increasingly overflowing.
Congestion is not only happening in the big streets but also happens in
Leaden Hall Highway from London to Manchester. Congestion this time
is accompanied by heavy rain that flushes the area of Manchester and
the surrounding areas starting this morning that causes flood around
Manchester, not least in Leaden Hall Highway, Manchester. This affects
the congestion that is getting worse from the direction of London to
Manchester. Well, we will connect with my colleague Thea Collins on
Leaden Hall Highway, Manchester.
Reporter : Thanks to Amelia. Good morning viewers, I am currently on
Leaden Hall Highway, Manchester. The congestion in this area has
become a subscription and becomes a major problem for motorcyclists
and cars, because this bottleneck hampers the activities of the
surrounding community, especially in the morning. Especially now is the
holiday season at the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017 , which
affects the traffic congestion is increasingly severe in this Manchester
area. Viewers, here not only happens congestion, but also heavy rain
that flushed this area since at 07:00 am. The rain that has flushed this
area seemed thorough in the area around Manchester causing a long
traffic jam up to about 7 km from the direction of London to Manchester.
This jam has occured almost 2 hours. Rain also makes the complex of
houses near the highway in Manchester flooded to a height of 30-40 cm.
Heavy rain also results in roads around the perforated Manchester and
disrupts the road users. It is very dangerous especially for two-wheeled
riders. The worst congestion occurs from the flyover near the Super Mall
to the red light intersection of White End Street. This can be seen from
the volume of both four-wheeled vehicles that have filled this street since
this morning. So, for you who want to take a vacation or just passing in
the area of Manchester, it’d better choose other alternative routes
because the congestion is expected to last until noon if the rain stops
and water inundated areas around Manchester gradually recedes. Thus
report from Leaden Hall Highway, Manchester. I am Thea Collins and
the cameraman Mason Williams reported, back to the studio, Amelia.

Global international travel demand is expected to drop 57 percent in 2020,
dented by tighter border controls and quarantine measures imposed in an effort
to stem the coronavirus outbreak, according to a British research firm.
Demand for overseas tourism will not return to the level in 2019 until 2024,
reflecting the economic effects of the pandemic and lingering negative sentiment
toward international travel, including the impact on both leisure and business
travel, Oxford Economics Ltd. said in a recent report.
Many countries are beginning to reopen their borders. "However, there is
immense difficulty in striking the correct balance between ensuring the virus
remains under control while reviving tourism," the research firm said.
Domestic travel demand is forecast to recover more quickly than that for
international travel, returning to the level in 2019 by 2022, according to the
report.
The 57 percent fall, equivalent to 847 million fewer arrivals, is projected as all
regions are likely to see a decline, with trips to North American destinations
expected to post the steepest drop of 70 percent.
Asia-Pacific will be the second worst affected region with a 57 percent decline.
Northeast Asian destinations are forecast to log the biggest fall in the area of 61
percent.

In Japan, inbound visitors plunged 99.9 percent from a year earlier for the fourth
straight month in July, with the entry of foreign nationals from more than 140
countries and regions remaining banned.
Cross-border travel is likely to sag 56 percent in Europe despite recent moves to
reopen borders and jump-start travel activity, the British research firm said.
Major city destinations are more affected than rural areas, the report said.
Bangkok is forecast to post the sharpest drop by number of visitors at 14.5
million people, equivalent to nearly two-thirds of the loss in visitor arrivals across
Thailand.
The 10 cities with biggest percentage falls are expected to all be in the United
States, including New York, which is likely to see a 79 percent plunge.

Plans to reopen Bali to international tourists on Sept. 11 have been reconsidered

following the government's decision to wait until the end of this year before
welcoming foreign visitors.
"The government is still prohibiting its citizens from traveling abroad at least until
the end of 2020. In line with the policy, we also cannot open the gate to
international travelers until the end of 2020 as the situation in Indonesia,
including Bali, is not yet safe to welcome them," said Bali Governor Wayan
Koster in a statement Saturday.
According to Koster, there is no country in the world that has allowed its citizens
to travel abroad. "Many countries in the world are still implementing tight
restrictions on their citizens due to the still-spreading COVID-19 pandemic, which
is threatening their citizens' health and safety."
"For example, Australia has not allowed its citizens to travel abroad until 2021.
This is also the case for China, Korea, Japan and many European countries,"
Koster said.
Koster added that the government fully supported the province's plans to reopen
to international travelers as part of tourism recovery efforts. "However, we should
be careful, [we] cannot hurry [such a plan as we] need to be well prepared. In
attempting to recover tourism, Bali should not fail, because it will badly impact the
image of Indonesia in the eyes of the world."
Following the decision, Bali is said to be focusing on efforts to attract domestic
tourists in a bid to smooth its way to tourism and economic recovery.
The pandemic has badly hit the province's local economy, 80 percent of which
relies on tourism. Bali's economy contracted 10.98 percent in the second quarter
of 2020. At least 2,667 people who work in the tourism sector have lost their job,
and 73,631 people have been forced to take unpaid leave.
Previously, Bali was planning to reopen its tourism in three phases, starting
on July 9 with the reopening of tourist sites to local residents, followed with
reopening access to domestic travelers from regions across Indonesia. The third
phase would have been to welcome international travelers on Sept. 11.
Since opening its doors to domestic travelers, Bali has seen an increase in tourist
arrivals of more than 100 percent. As of Aug. 14, the number of domestic tourists
arriving daily at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar reached between
2,300 and 2,500.
