RANCANG BANGUN PARAFFIN BATH BERBASIS ARDUINO DENGAN PENAMBAHAN

DETEKSI JUMLAH CELUPAN

Nyeri otot adalah kondisi dimana otot merasakan ketidaknyamanan berupa sakit atau nyeri.
Metode terapi yang umum digunakan dalam kasus ini adalah hidroterapi. Pada tugas akhir ini peneliti
merancang sebuah alat paraffn bath berbasis arduino dengan penambahan deteksi jumlah celupan. Alat
ini menggunakan push button sebagai pemilihan suhu serta dilengkapi sensor infrared sebagai
pendeteksi jumlah celupan. Dengan adanya penambahan sensor infrared dapat mencegah kelebihan
ataupun kekurangan proses pencelupan tangan kedalam paraffin bath .
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif eksploraktif. Metode Penelitian ini adalah
Research and Development yaitu metode penelitian untuk menghasilkan produk tertentu, dan menguji
efektifitas produk tersebut. Penelitian terdiri atas kajian atas produk alat paraffin bath yang ada
dipasaran serta dirumah. Paraffin bath yang biasa dipergunakan dirumah sakit serta dipasaran akan
dikembangkan melakukan uji coba. Alat paraffin bath berbasis arduino dengan penambahan deteksi
jumlah celupan sehingga mencegah human error saat proses penggunaan alat. Perintah pada alat
diberikan melalui push button, LCD sebagai komunikasi antara alat dengan pengguna yang
menampilkan informasi suhu dan banyak jumlah celupan.
Berdasarkan analisis perhitungan statistik pengujian suhu pada pengambilan data yang
dilakukan menggunakan termometer, didapatkan beberapa hasil pengukuran. Untuk analisis
perhitungan suhu dilakukan pembandingan saat proses terapi mulai dari suhu 47C sampai 54C
sebanyak 5 kali pengulangan pada setiap suhu. Pada suhu 47C didapat nilai rerata sebesar 47,84,
termometer 55,24 dan nilai signifikansi 0,69. Pada suhu 48C didapat nilai rerata 48,14, thermometer
48,42 dan nilai signifikansi 0,50. Pada suhu 49C didapat nilai rerata 49,77, termometer 49,56 dan
nilai signifikansi 0,22. Pada suhu 50C nilai rerata 50,14, termometer 50,74 dan nilai signifikansi 0,50.
Pada suhu 51C nilai rerata 51,43 termometer 50,74 dan nilai signifikansi 0,50. Pada suhu 52C nilai
rerata 52,09, termometer 52,06 dan nilai signifikansi 0,89. Pada suhu 53C nilai rerata 53,49,
termometer 53,80 dan nilai signifikansi 0,50. Pada suhu 54C nilai rerata 54,97, termometer 55,24 dan
nilai signifikansi 0,50. Pada Uji asumsi secara keseluruhan didapat nilai 0,04 pada paraffin bath dan
0,012 pada termometer. Pada perhitungan statistik banyak jumlah celupan rerata sebesar 9,80 dan nilai
signifikansi sebesar 1,00.

DESIGN AN ARDUINO-BASED PARAFFIN BATH WITH THE ADDITION OF
DETECTION OF THE NUMBER OF DIPS
Muscle pain is a condition in which the muscles feel discomfort in the form of aches or pain..
A commonly used method of treatment or therapy in this case is hydrotherapy. In this final project,
researchers designed an Arduino-based paraffin bath tool with the addition of detection of the number
of dips. With the addition of an infrared sensor, it can prevent the excess or lack of the process of
immersing hands or feet into the paraffin bath.
This study was an exploratory descriptive study. This research method was a Research and
Development, which is a research method to produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of
these products. The research consisted of studies on paraffin bath tool products on the market and at
home. Paraffin baths usually used in hospitals and in the market will be developed to conduct trials.
Arduino-based paraffin bath tool with the addition of detection of the number of dips in order to
prevent human error during the process of using the tool. Commands on the tool are given through
push button, LCD as communication between the device and the user that displays temperature
information and a large number of dips.
Based on calculation of statistic analyse temperature using a thermometer, it showed some
results. The calculation themperature analyse comparisons were made during the therapy process from
47C to 54C with 5 repetitions at each temperature. At 47C, the mean is 47.84, the thermometer is
55.24 and the significance is 0.69. At 48C, the mean is 48.14, the thermometer is 48.42 and the
significance is 0.50. At 49C, the mean is 49.77, the thermometer is 49.56 and the significance is 0.22.
At 50C the mean is 50.14, the thermometer is 50.74 and the significance is 0.50. At 51C the mean is
51.43, the thermometer is 50.74 and the significance is 0.50. At 52C the mean is 52.09, the
thermometer is 52.06 and the significance is 0.89. At 53C the mean is 53.49, the thermometer is 53.80
and the significance is 0.50. At 54C the mean is 54.97, the thermometer is 55.24 and the significance
is 0.50. The final result of the asumption test, the value is 0.04 on the paraffin bath and 0.02 on the
thermometer. In statistical calculations, the average number of dips is 9.80 and the significance is 1.00.
