TUGAS PERHITUNGAN KORELASI DARI DATA LAPANGAN

PENGANTAR EKONOMETRIKA

Langkah-langkah pengerjaan :

1. Carilah data lapangan berisi 3 variabel dengan ukuran minimal 30 buah (disusun sbg matriks
ukuran min 30 baris x 3 kolom), sebut sebagai X1, X2, X3.
2. sumber data adalah online yang bisa diperoleh di situs BPS, BI, finance, kaggle, wordbank,
worldometer, data covid, dll.  Data boleh bersifat timeseries (pengamatan waktu) maupun
cross section (pengamatan obyek bukan waktu).
3. Hitunglah korelasi antara X1 dengan X2, X1 dengan  X3, dan  X2 dengan X3
4. Plotkan masing variabel dengan sumbu x adalah waktu atau nomor obyek
5. Berilah komentar anda atas hasil dari masing-masing korelasi dan plotnya yg diperintahkan
di (3) dan (4)
6. Tugas disusun dgn diberi cover dengan isi, data mentah, hasil korelasi, dan 3 buah gambar
plot utk masing2 variabel

Jawaban:

1. Data berasal dari kaggle dengan judul “Student Performance in Exams” memiliki 8
variabel dan 1.000 amatan, dimana akan digunakan 3 variabel dan 50 amatan untuk
melihat korelasi antar variabel. 3 variabel yang digunakan adalah :
a. Math score, nilai matematika untuk X1
b. Reading score, nilai membaca untuk X2
c. Writing score, nilai menulis untukX3

2. Berikut ini hasil korelasi yang didapatkan antara variabel X1 dan X2, X1 dan X3, X2 dan
X3
 Dari matriks korelasi di atas, dapat dilihat bahwa X1 dan X2, memiliki korelasi
positif yang kuat antara satu sama lain dengan nilai korelasi 0.86. Begitu juga dengan
korelasi X1 dan X3, X2 dan X3 yang memiliki nilai korelasi masing-masing 0.88 dan
0.95. Dari ketiga korelasi tersebut, yang memiliki korelasi yang kuat adalah variabel X2
dan X3.
