TRANSPORTASI MEMBRAN ADALAH….?

 Membran sel, berfungsi mengatur

masuknya bahan-bahan kedalam sel
dan keluarnya zat-zat tertentu dari
dalam sel.
 Perpindahan molekul atau ion yang
melewati membrane sel ada dua
macam, yaitu transport pasif dan
transport aktif.

WRITING PURPOSE

To know the process of membrane transport, the interaction between the ionic transport system of the plasma
membrane and knowing the potential of the plasma membrane, especially in epithelial cells
UNIQUE FACT

1. The transport of water and solutes across epithelial layers represents a major achievement of biological evolution and constitutes the
basis for the existence of higher organisms.
2. The cytoskeleton also interacts, directly or indirectly, with diverse ion transport systems of the plasma membrane.
3. In caveolar structures the sodium pump is the core of amultiprotein complex, the sodium pump signalosome, that contains several
proteins involved in cytoskeletal regulation.
4. The sodium and potassium channels underlie the generation of a diffusion potential across the plasma membrane.

REFLECTION

The modifications in the plasma membrane potential have mostly been classically associated with the physiology of
excitable tissues. In both excitable and nonexcitable cells, the PMP is an energetic component of the
electrochemicalgradients responsible of membrane ionic transport. The findings reviewed in this work contribute to the
conceptthat the PMP may also participate in other cellular processes, including the establishment and maintenance of the
morphological and functional features of epithelial cells.
