A. Memberikan gambaran tentang pentingnya menemukan dan memahami sifat-sifat eksponen yaitu membantu siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan eksponen dengan cepat dan tepat. Menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran. 15 menit

Fase 1 : Penyajian masalah Siswa berkelompok secara heterogen menjadi enam kelompok dengan masing-masing kelompok beranggota 6 siswa. Siswa bergabung dengan kelompoknya masing-masing secara tertib. Menyampaikan permasalahan kepada siswa yaitu bagaimana sifat-sifat eksponen dapat ditemukan. Inti Fase 2 : Membuat hipotesis Bersama kelompoknya, siswa membuat suatu hipotesis terhadap masalah yang diberikan dan mendiskusikannya selama3menit. Masing-masing kelompok menyampaikan hipotesis yang telah dibuat. Siswa berdiskusi bersama tentang hipotesis yang akan menjadi prioritas dalam penyelidikan. Memonitor diskusi siswa dan memberikan penilaian terhadap 65menit

Membimbing siswa dalam menentukan hipotesis yang relevan dengan permasalahan dan memprioritaskan hipotesis mana yang menjadi prioritas penyelidikan.

Fase 3 : Merancang percobaan Membagikan LAS: Menemukan Sifat-sifat Eksponen kepada masing-masing kelompok dengan waktu pengerjaan LAS 20 menit. Siswa memahami langkah-langkah yang tertera di dalam LAS dan menanyakan pada guru bila ada yang tidak dipahami. Fase 4 : Melakukan percobaan untuk memperoleh informasi Siswa mulai berdiskusi mengerjakan LAS secara berkelompok untuk menguji hipotesis yang telah disetujui sebelumnya dengan menggunakan metode penemuan terbimbing. Guru berkeliling untuk memantau dan membimbing siswa dalam berdiskusi untuk mengerjakan LAS. Pada kegiatan ini, siswa dilatih untuk bekerja sama dan saling toleran terhadap perbedaan pendapat yang ada. Membimbing siswa untuk memperoleh informasi melalui percobaan yang dilakukan.

Fase 5: Mengumpulkan dan Menganalisis Data Memberi informasi pada siswa bahwa waktu diskusi telah usai dan dilanjutkan dengan presentasi. Masing-masing kelompok mempresentasikan hasil diskusinya secara bergantian. Memberikan umpan balik terhadap hasil presentasi siswa dan membimbing siswa dalam mengumpulkan data dari hasil diskusi kelas dan hasil presentasi kelompok.
