Luas wilayah daratan 1 812,85 Km2
tersebar di 17 pulau (3 pulau yang dihuni
dan 14 pulau yang tidak dihuni).

between 08o 04 to 08o 40 South Latitude
and from 122o 38 to 123o 57 East
Longitude. Flores Timur has 1,812.85
Km2 which spread over 17 islands (3
inhabited islands and 14 non-inhabited
islands).

Sebagaimana halnya dengan daerah lain di

Indonesia, di Kabupaten Flores Timur
hanya dikenal 2 musim, yaitu musim
kemarau dan musim hujan.

Pada bulan Juni-September angin bertiup

dari
Australia
dan
tidak
banyak
mengandung
uap
air
sehingga
mengakibatkan musim kemarau.
Sebaliknya, pada bulan Desember-Maret
angin banyak mengandung uap air yang
berasal dari Asia dan Samudra Pasifik
sehingga terjadi musim hujan. Keadaan
seperti ini berganti setiap setengah tahun
setelah melewati masa peralihan pada
bulan April-Mei dan Oktober-November.
Hal ini menjadikan Flores Timur sebagai
wilayah yang tergolong kering, di mana
hanya 4 bulan (Januari-Maret dan
Desember) yang keadaannya relatif basah
serta 8 bulan sisanya relatif kering.
Climate
As similar with other areas in Indonesia,

Flores Timur Regency has only two
seasons, namely the dry season and the
rainy season.
On June till September the wind blows
from Australia which contains low water
vapor, which causes the dry season.
On the contrary, on December till March
the wind flow contains a great deal of
water vapor which comes from Asia and
Pacific ocean, and it caused rainy season.
Those climate change and turn for a half
of year, after passing the transitional
period on April till May and October till
November. It makes Flores Timur has dry
area which is relatively wet as long as 4
months (January until March and
December) and the rest of 8 months are
dry.

Pada tahun 2015 Kabupaten Flores Timur

terdiri dari 19 kecamatan, 229 desa dan 21
kelurahan. Jumlah desa terbanyak di
Kecamatan Ile Boleng (21 desa), sedangkan
yang paling sedikit jumlah desa adalah
Kecamatan Ile Bura, Demon Pagong,
Lewolema (7 desa)
Jumlah anggota DPRD Kabupaten Flores
Timur hasil pemilihan umum tahun 2015
sebanyak 30 orang. Bila dilihat komposisinya,
jumlah anggota DPRD Kabupaten Flores
Timur dari 30 anggota yang dipilih, 5 anggota
(16,67%) berasal dari Gerindra dan Partai
Golongan Karya, 4 anggota (13,33%) Partai
Nasdem, 4 anggota (13,33%) Partai PDI,
Partai Kebangkitan Bangsa dan Partai
Persatuan Pembangunan, sisanya dari partai
lainnya.
In 2015, Flores Timur Regency was

divided into 19 districts, 229 villages
and 21 urban villages. District Ile Boleng
had the largest number of villages (21
villages), while the least number of
villages was had by District Ile Bura,
Demon Pagong, Lewolema (7 Villages)
The result of 2015 general election
registered that number of regional
parliament members of Flores Timur
was 30 persons, which came for
different parties. The composition as
follows 5 persons (16,67%)
from
Gerindra and Golkar. Nasdem; 4
persons (13,33%) from PDIP Party, 4
persons (13,33%) from Nasional
Demokrat Party and PPP; then the rest
