Salah satu metode yang sangat efektif dalam menanggulanginya adalah

dengan massase yang merupakan salah satu metode nonfarmakologi yang
dilakukan untuk mengurangi nyeri persalinan. Dasar teori massase adalah teori
gate control yang dikemukakan oleh Melzak dan Wall. Tujuan penelitian ini
adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi massase punggung terhadap
pengurangan intensitas nyeri persalinan kala I di RSUD Gunung Jati Kota
Cirebon.
Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah cross sectional. Dengan sampel
semua ibu bersalin yang ada di RSUD Gunung Jati Cirebon pada tanggal 09 23
Agustus 2014 sebanyak 65 orang, pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik
accidental sampling.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pengurangan intensitas nyeri
dilihat dari beda rata-rata sebelum massase sebesar 5,63 dan sesudah massase
sebesar 4,17. Berdasarkan uji paired t-test didapatkan p value 0.000.
Kesimpulan : terdapat pengaruh pemberian terapi massase punggung
terhadap intensitas nyeri persalinan di RSUD Gunung Jati Kota Cirebon Tahun
2014.
Saran : Diharapkan dapat memberi masukan dan sebagai referensi tentang
metode non farmakologi dalam mengatasi intensitas nyeri persalinan kala I dalam
usaha memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik..

One method that is very effective in overcoming it is to massase which is one

of nonpharmacological methods undertaken to reduce labor pain. Basic theory is
massase gate control theory proposed by Melzak and Wall. The purpose of this
study was to determine the effect of therapy massase backs to the reduction of
pain intensity the first stage of labor in hospitals Gunung Jati Cirebon.
Type of study is cross-sectional. With a sample of all women giving birth in
hospitals Gunung Jati Cirebon on December 9 to 23 August 2014 as many 65
people, sampling using accidental sampling.
The results showed that a reduction in pain intensity seen from the average
difference before and after the massase by 5.63 by 4.17 massase. Based on the
paired t-test p value 0.000 obtained.
Conclusion: there are significant massase therapy backs against the intensity
of labor pain in Gunung Jati Cirebon City Hospital in 2014.
Suggestion: It is expected to provide input and as a reference on non-
pharmacological method to overcome the first stage of labor pain intensity in an
effort to provide the best service.
