DHCP Server & Client

I. DHCP Client
R1 : MTAcad R2 : Student

192.168.100.254/24 Ether5 IP = DHCP Client (192.168.100.xyz/24)

Secara default configuration, mikrotik sudah memfungsikan port ethernet1 (WAN/internet) sebagai DHCP
Client. Konfigurasi DHCP Client (pada R2) dapat di setting sebagai berikut :

1. IP | DHCP Client
2. Pada window DHCP Client, click tanda +

3. isikan interface yang terhubung dengan DHCP Server (ether5)

4. Pastikan Use Peer DNS dan NTP di checkmark
5. Klik OK perhatikan pada windows DHCP Client proses bounding IP Address ke Interface
6. Gunakan New Terminal, kemudian periksa koneksi dengan Ping ke 192.168.100.254/24
7. Gunakan Terminal, kemudian periksa koneksi dengan Ping ke google.com atau unmul.ac.id
II. DHCP Server
R1 : MTAcad R2 : Student

Ether5 DHCP Server IP = DHCP Client

DHCP Client Ether1
IP : 192.168.n.254/24

Secara default configuration, mikrotik sudah memfungsikan port bridge1 (LAN/intranet) sebagai DHCP
Server. Konfigurasi DHCP Server dapat di setting sebagai berikut:

1. Gunakan hasil dari Lab DHCP Client. Kemudian berilah IP Address pada Ether1 (n adalah nomor di
router)
2. Click IP | Addresses | +
3. Pada window New Address isikan IP Address pada Interface Ether1 dan Click OK
4. Cek pada Address List, akan muncul IP pada Interface ether1
5. Kemudian beralih ke DHCP Server, IP | DHCP Server | DHCP Setup
6. Sesuaikan Interface yang akan dipasang DHCP Server (ether1), click Next
7. Address Space otomatis akan terisi, berupa alamat network, click Next
8. Gateway Address otomatis akan terisi, berupa alamat IP Address pada ether1, click Next
9. IP Address yang akan diberikan ke Client DHCP, otomatis akan terisi, click Next
10. DNS Server otomatis akan terisi, atau bisa di tambahkan, click Next
11. Lease Time yaitu lamanya IP Address dipinjamkan ke Client DHCP, click Next
12. Jika konfigurasi telah lengkap dan selesai maka ada pop up setup complete dan server aktif

13. Cek IP, Gateway Address dan DNS pada Interface Ethernet Laptop
14. Ping dari Laptop ke IP Gateway (192.168.n.254)
15. Ping dari Laptop ke google.com atau unmul.ac.id, amati apa yang terjadi ? mengapa begitu?

DHCP Server pada Mikrotik RouterOS dapat memberikan IP Address untuk dialokasikan secara static
(tetap) pada alamat MAC Address (host) tertentu, pada tab Leases, Click Kanan pada Address kemudian
pilih Make Static atau Double Click pada Address, kemudian pilih Make Static. Perhatikan tanda apa yang
hilang di sebelah IP Address.
