fotosintesis berlangsung sangat cepat.
Abstract
A physiological trait that only a plant possesses is its ability to use carbon from the air to be
converted into organic matter and be assimilated in the body of the plant. The purpose of this
study is to prove that the photosynthesis process of Hydrilla verticillata plants produces oxygen
gas and determine the factors that influence the speed of photosynthesis. This experiment used
the Ingenhousz method by inserting Hydrilla verticillata plants into vessels containing 25°C of
normal water and 36°C of warm water to accelerate the process of photosynthesis. The bubbles
formed in this experiment are oxygen gas formed from the process of photolysis / breakdown of
water in the photosynthesis process. In beaker A using ordinary water at 25°C, the
photosynthesis process is slow. Because at low temperatures, many of the enzymes in
chlorophyll are inactive so that little oxygen gas is formed. In beaker B using water heated to
warm at 36°C, the photosynthesis process takes place very quickly. Because there is more
energy available in warm water than energy derived from light rays, the process of
photosynthesis is opitimal because there is a lot of energy formed so that the enzymes in
chlorophyll in active hydrilla plants cause photosynthesis to produce a lot of oxygen gas.
