Herba pegagan (Centella asiatica) mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan

mempunyai aktivitas sebagai antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk
mengetahui mutu fisik sediaan masker gel peel off ekstrak etanol pegagan (Centella
asiatica) menggunakan basis PVA dengan variasi konsentrasi 10%, 13%, dan 16%.
Herba pegagan diekstraksi dengan metode maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol
70%. Hasil skrining fitokimia ekstrak pegagan menunjukkan adanya kandungan
flavonoid. Ekstrak kental pegagan diformulasikan dalam bentuk sediaan masker gel
peel off dalam tiga formulasi dengan variasi konsentrasi PVA 10%, 13%, dan 16%.
Hasil uji mutu fisik sediaan masker gel peel off ekstrak etanol pegagan pada uji
organoleptis yaitu berwarna kuning kecoklatan, aroma khas pegagan, berbentuk
semi solid dan sediaan homogen. Pada uji pH, formula 1,2, dan 3 secara berurutan
diperoleh hasil rata-rata uji 6,3;6,4; dan 6,0. Selanjutnya daya sebar masker gel
peel off untuk formula 1,2, dan 3 secara berurutan adalah 7cm; 6,3cm; dan 4,7cm.
Hasil uji waktu kering formula 1,2, dan 3 secara berurutan adalah 17,3menit; 12,3
menit; dan 11,3menit. Viskositas sediaan gel peel off untuk formula 1,2,dan 3
secara berurutan adalah 2233 cP, 2966 cP, dan 4566 cP. Berdasarkan hasil
penelitian mutu fisik, hanya formula satu dan formula dua telah memenuhi
persyaratan sedangkan formula 3 tidak memenuhi persyaratan pada uji viskositas
dan daya sebar.

Mask Peel Off.
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) contains flavonoid compounds and has antioxidant
activity. This research is to determine the physical quality of the peel off gel mask
preparation of gotu kola extract (Centella asiatica) using a PVA basis with a
variation of 10%, 13%, and 16%. Gotu kola was extracted by maceration method
using 70% ethanol solvent. The results of phytochemical screening of gotu kola
extract showed the presence of flavonoids. The viscous extract of gotu kola is
formulated in the form of a peel off gel mask preparation for easy use. The physical
quality test results of the gel peel off mask extract of lime peel extract in the
organoleptic test are brownish yellow, typical smell of gotu kola, semi-solid and
homogeneous preparations. In the pH test, formulas 1,2, and 3 respectively, the
average test results were 6.3; 6,4; and 6.0. Furthermore, the spreadability of the
peel off gel mask for formulas 1, 2, and 3 respectively is 7cm; 6.3cm; and 4.7cm.
The results of the drying time test for formulas 1, 2, and 3 respectively were 17.3
minutes; 12.3 minutes; and 11.3 minutes. The viscosity of the peel off gel
preparation for formulas 1,2, and 3, respectively, was 2233 cP, 2966 cP, and 4566
cP. Based on the results of research on physical quality, only formula one and
formula two have met the requirements, while formula 3 does not meet the
requirements for viscosity and dispersion tests. From the three formulas, it can be
concluded that the second formula is the most effective formula used to make peel
off gel mask preparations.
