ANALISIS FAKTOR KEPATUHAN PEMENUHAN KEBUTUHAN GIZI


PADA KLIEN DENGAN DIABETES MELLITUS
BERBASIS TEORI HEALTH BELIEF MODEL

Penelitian Deskripif Analitik di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUD Kabupaten Sidoarjo,


Jawa Timur

Pendahuluan: Tingginya angka kejadian Diabetes mellitus (DM) di Indonesia


membuat berbagai aspek penatalaksanaan DM sering dan berisiko mengalami
permasalahan. Jumlah penderita DM di Indonesia adalah 6,9%, yakni setara
dengan 12.191.564 jiwa. Pengelolaan diet merupakan hal yang paling utama
dalam penatalaksanaan DM untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi. Tujuan penelitian
adalah menjelaskan berbagai faktor yang berhubungan dengan kepatuhan
pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi pada klien dengan Diabetes mellitus berbasis teori
Health Belief Model. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian
deskriptif analitik. Jumlah responden 105 orang di rawat inap RSUD Kabupaten
Sidoarjo yang didapatkan dari purposive sampling. Variabel independen antara
lain perceived susceptibility, perceived seriouness, perceived benefits, perceived
barriers, cues to action, dan self efficacy. Variabel dependen yaitu kepatuhan
pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi pada klien dengan Diabetes mellitus. Data diambil
melalui peyebaran instrumen berupa kuesioner faktor Health Belief Model dan
kepatuhan pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan
analisis statistik chi square dengan nilai α ≤ 0,05. Hasil: Hasil menunjukkan
bahwa ada hubungan antara perceived seriousness (p=0,02), perceived barriers
(0,025), self efficacy (p=0,021) dan tidak ada hubungan antara perceived
susceptibility (p=0,296), perceived benefits (p=0,364), cues to action sub variabel
person (p=0,369), cues to action sub variabel event (p=0,540) dengan kepatuhan
pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi pada klien dengan Diabetes mellitus. Kesimpulan:
Ada hubungan antara perveived seriousness, perceived barriers, self efficacy dan
tidak ada hubungan antara perceived susceptibility, perceived benefits, cues to
action dengan kepatuhan pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi pada klien dengan Diabetes
mellitus. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan untuk mengembangkan faktor HBM
untuk intervensi guna meningkatkan kepatuhan pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi.

IN DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENT
BASED ON HEALTH BELIEF MODEL THEORY

Introduction: The high incidence of Diabetes mellitus (DM) in Indonesia cause


many treatment aspect often and risk having problems. Total of DM patient in
Indonesia were 6,9%, its around 12.191.564 million people. Dietary management
was major thing to do on the DM treatment to fullfill nutritional needs. The
purpose of the study was to explain various factors related to compliance with
nutritional needs for clients with Diabetes mellitus based on the Health Belief
Model theory. Methods: This reasearch used analytic descriptive. Total
respondents were 105 in Inpatient Wards of The Regional General Hospital
Sidoarjo with purposive sampling. The independent variabel were perceived
susceptibility, perceived seriouness, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, cues to
action, and self efficacy. Dependent variabel was nutritional needs compliance in
Diabetes mellitus patient. Instruments in this reasearch were Health Belief Model
factors and nutritional needs compliance questionnaire. Data analysis was chi
square α ≤ 0,05. Results: The results is there is correlation between perceived
seriousness (p=0,02), perceived barriers (0,025), self efficacy (p=0,021) and there
is no correlation perceived susceptibility (p=0,296), perceived benefits (p=0,364),
cues to action sub variabel person (p=0,369), cues to action sub variabel event
(p=0,540) with nutritional needs compliance in Diabetes mellitus patient.
Discussion: There is correlation that is perceived seriousness, perceived barriers,
self efficacy and no correlation that is perceived susceptibility, perceived benefits,
cues to action with nutritional needs compliance in Diabetes mellitus patient. The
future research hopefully can improve HBM factors to make an interventions to
increase nutritional needs compliance.
