OPENING RITES

L Bapak, Ibu, Saudara-saudari yang terkasih dalam Tuhan kita Yesus Kristus,
selamat datang di Gereja Santo Yohanes Penginjil. Adalah suatu sukacita yang
indah pada saat ini di mana dua insan dipertemukan, didekatkan, dan akhirnya
dipersatukan dalam suatu ikatan suci pernikahan yang kudus.

L Beloved brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus Christ, welcome to the Church of St.
John the Evangelist. It is a joyful moment when two individuals are brought together
and ultimately united in a holy and sacred bond of matrimony.

L Peristiwa perkawinan adalah peristiwa yang sakral dan terjadi sekali seumur
hidup menurut adat Gereja Katolik. Perkawinan bukan hanya urusan antara
manusia, melainkan manusia dengan Tuhan. Perkawinan juga adalah suatu cara
mewujudkan iman. Kita akan menyaksikan saat terindah saudara-saudari kita ini
dipersatukan Allah dalam ikatan hidup berkeluarga. Dan kita berharap mereka
akan menjalani panggilan hidup ini dengan sukacita dalam Yesus Kristus.

L Marriage is a sacred occurrence, and according to the customs of the Catholic

Church, ought to happen only once in a lifetime. More than a matter between
two individuals, marriage is also a matter between two individuals and God — a
manifestation of faith. Today, we will witness the most beautiful moment as two
people are united by God, and we hope that they will live out this calling with joy in
Jesus Christ.

celebration of the marriage of Baby Ramadhany Soehartono and David Widyanto.
The Church welcomes you all and rejoices in this sacred celebration.

WK Romo Dhimas yang terhormat, seluruh keluarga hendak mengantar David dan
Dhany memasuki hidup perkawinan. Kami mohon agar perkawinan mereka
dikukuhkan dan diberkati sesuai dengan ajaran dan tata cara perayaan Gereja

sahabat, Gereja ikut bergembira dan menerima kalian berdua dengan senang
hati, pada saat yang penuh makna dalam hidup kalian. Allah adalah sumber kasih
dan kesetiaan bagi orang beriman sebab Allah adalah Sang Kasih itu sendiri. Oleh
karena itu, marilah kita mengikuti seluruh rangkaian upacara sakramen nikah
ini dengan khidmat dan hormat, dan dengarkanlah Sabda- Nya dengan penuh
perhatian. Semoga la mengulurkan tangan- Nya dan menjaga kedua mempelai dan
menganugerahkan berkat serta pengabulan atas semua harapan baik kita semua.
P David and Dhany, together with your parents, relatives, friends, and the Church,
we rejoice and welcome both of you with open hearts on this joyful day. God is the
origin of love and faithfulness for believers, because God is Love itself. Therefore, let
us participate in the sacrament of marriage with reverence and respect, and let us
attentively listen to His Word. May He reach out His hand, protect the newlyweds,
and bestow His blessings and the fulfillment of all our hopes.

I Kami mengucapkan terima kasih atas kehadiran Saudara-saudari yang tidak

beragama Katolik dalam perayaan ini. Perkauñnan ini akan dilaksanakan
menurut tata cara Gereja Katolik. Kami juga memohon dukungan doa Anda bagi
kedua calon menikah ini selama perayaan suci ini.

P We express our gratitude for the presence of our non-Catholic brothers and sisters in
this celebration. This marriage will be conducted according to the Catholic Church’s

L Berita yang kami sampaikan itu bukanlah berita tentang kami sendiri. Berita itu
adalah berita tentang Yesus Kristus; bahwa Ia adalah Tuhan; dan kami adalah
hamba-hambamu karena Dia. Allah yang berkata, “Hendaklah dari dalam gelap
terbit terang,” Allah itulah juga yang menerbitkan terang itu di dalam hati kita,
supaya pikiran kita menjadi terang untuk memahami kecemerlangan Allah
yang bersinar pada wajah Kristus. Tetapi harta rohani yang indah itu kami bawa
pada diri kami yang tidak berharga ini yang dibuat dari tanah. Dengan demikian

tetapi tidak sampai putus asa. Banyak yang memusuhi kami, tetapi tidak pernah
kami tinggal seorang diri. Dan meskipun seringkali kami dipukul sampai jatuh,
namun kami tidak mati. Selalu kami merasakan kematian Yesus pada tubuh kami,
supaya kehidupan-Nya pun menjadi nyata pada tubuh kami.

L For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your
servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his
light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed
in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-
surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side,
but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck
down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so
that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

THE CELEBRATION OF MATRIMONY

I Mempelai yang berbahagia, kalian datang di tempat ini karena berniat untuk
saling mengikat diri dalam hidup perkawinan yang akan diteguhkan dengan
meterai suci. Di hadapan pelayan Gereja dan umat beriman, semoga cinta kalian
berdua diperkaya dengan berkat Tuhan, demi cinta dan kesetiaan abadi satu
sanna lain. Semoga cinta kalian diperteguh demi tugas dan tanggung jawab kalian
selanjutnya. Kini, saya minta kalian menyatakan niat itu di hadapan Gereja.

P You have come to this place with the intention to bind yourselves together in the
sacred covenant of marriage. In the presence of the Church’s ministers and the
faithful, may your love be enriched by the blessings of the Lord, for enduring love and
eternal fidelity to one another. May your love be strengthened for the responsibilities
and duties that lie ahead. Now, I ask you to declare this intention before the Church.

P To solemnize this holy union, please join your right hands and make your covenant
before God and His Church.

P Beloved brothers and sisters, let us humbly pray that the Lord pours His blessings
and grace upon this newlywed couple, who have been married in Christ. They have
been united in the bond of a holy covenant. May they be united in love and harmony.

I Bapa yang kudus, Pencipta alam semesta, Engkau berkehendak memberkati

kesatuan mereka. Dengan rendah hati kami mohon bagi putra-putri-Mu ini, yang
hari ini saling mempersatukan diri dengan ikatan janji perkawinan.

P O Holy Father, Creator of the universe, it is Your will to bless their unity. We humbly
on behalf of Your children, who today unite themselves in the covenant of marriage.

sacrifice for the happiness of one another. Bless this Rosary to be a sign of Mother
Mary’s intercession and prayer for this family.
