VARIABEL
DEFINISI :
Sebuah variabel z dikatakan sebuah
fungsi dari 2(dua) variabel x dan y
z = f (x,y) , jika untuk setiap
pasangan (x,y) yang diberikan kita
Simbolnya dapat dituliskan sebagai
berikut
z = f(x,y) bentuk eksplisit
atau f(x,y,z) = 0 bentuk implisit
dimana

dapat menentukan satu atau lebih x,y = variabel bebas dan

z= variabel tak bebas
nilai z

2. Rumus mencari volume kerucut ( cone):

Dengan,

Diefrensial parsial
 Definisi
‐ Misalkan z = f(x,y) fungsi 2 variabel yg terdefinisi disekitar titik (x,y). Turunan parsial
dari f terhadap x adalah turunan z terhdp x dimana hanya variabel x saja yg diasumsikan
berubah, dan y tetap konstan. Mengukur kecepatan perubahan z thdp x sementara y
konstan.

‐ Turunan parsial z = f(x,y) terhdp x ditulis :

 Definisi secara
grafik
Misalkan z = f(x,y) merupakan suatu permukaan. Persamaan y = b merepresentasikan bidang
vertikal sejajar bidang xz, dan memotong permukaan z, garis potongnya membentuk kurva z=
f(x,b) disebut kurva-x.

Nilai dari turunan parsial fx(a,b) adalah gradien/kemiringan dari garis tangen di titik P(a,b,c) pada
kurva-x yang melalui P pada permukaan z = f(x,y).

Hal yg sama, fy(a,b) adalah gradien/kemiringan dari garis tangen di titik P(a,b,c) pada kurva-y
yang melalui P pada permukaan z = f(x,y).
Syarat: turunan parsial fx(x,y), fy(x,y) kontinu di daerah (cakram) sekitar (a,b).

Persamaan bidang tangen pada permukaan z = f(x,y) di titik P(a,b, f(a,b)) adalah
z – f(a,b) = fx(a,b) (x-a) + fy(a,b) (y-b)
