SIMPLE PAST TENSE

 The simple past is a verb tense that is used to talk about things that
happened or existed before now. It is used to talk about a completed
action in a time before now.
 Simple past tense adalah kalimat tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
kejadian yang terjadi di masa lampau dan telah berakhir di masa lampau.
VERBAL SENTENCE

Kalimat verbal adalah  kalimat yang memiliki kata kerja/ kalimat yang
memiliki predikat yang berupa kata kerja (verba), jadi di kalimat ini
kita tidak membutuhkan to be (was/ were).
SENTENCE PATTERN:

 She joined English club at school yesterday. (Dia bergabung ke dalam
klub bahasa Inggris di sekolah kemarin).
 They got an accident at the office last Monday (Mereka mendapat
musibah di kantor senin lalu).
 He bought a new laptop last night. (Dia membeli laptop baru kemarin
malam)
 We cooked fried chicken for dinner last week. (Kami memasak ayam
goreng untuk makan malam minggu lalu).

EXAMPLE:
 I did not go to Bali for holiday last Sunday (Saya tidak pergi ke Bali untuk
berlibur minggu kemarin)
 She did not join English club at school yesterday. (Dia tidak bergabung ke
dalam klub bahasa Inggris di sekolah kemarin).
 They did not get an accident at the office last Monday (Mereka tidak
mendapat musibah di kantor senin lalu).
 He did not buy a new laptop last night. (Dia tidak membeli laptop baru
kemarin malam)
