Abstract. Research has been carried out to determine the velocity of fluid propagation
between intact bricks and split bricks. in this study we used a sample of two white bricks.
The first sample of white bricks is inserted into the basin containing water that has been
dissolved by salt, and the second sample of the bricks is split into two and then tied to a
neat rope then dipped into water containing salt water. From this experiment data can be
obtained that intact rock that is not cut will have a water velocity that is slower than the cut
rock has an angle. Rocks that are cut at certain angles are then bound to have a faster speed
of water propagation, this is because these rocks have hemispheric traces or space for fluid
to flow rather than rock that is not cleaved.
