How to Make Meatballs
Ingredients :
 1 kilo of very fine minced meat (preferably beef)
 1 teaspoon of white pepper
 300 grams of tapioca-flour
 2 teaspoons of salt
 4-8 cloves of garlic
 1 red onion
 2 eggs

These steps are instruction on how to make meatballs.

 Mix garlic, red onion, salt, and white pepper in a mortar or mixer.
 Next, mix the spice-mixture with the eggs, the tapioca-flour and the minced meat.
 Then, use your fingers, add a cup of water, and keep on working until the mixture feels soft and
smooth.
 After that, boil some water in a rather large pot, at least about 2 liters.
 Next step, roll the mixture into small meatballs.
 Finally, lower the meatballs into the boiling water. When they float up to the surface, they are
ready to serve.

Banyuwangi
A long time ago in East Java, there was a kingdom led by Prabu Merak. He had a handsome prince named
Raden Banterang. Their kingdom had a battle with Klunkung Kingdom.
One day, Banterang was hunting with guards when he met a very beautiful woman. Although it was
strange to find a beautiful woman in the jungle, he asked her, “Who are you, lady?” the lady told him that she was
the daughter of Klungkung King who ran away to the jungle to escape from the battle. She was very sad when her
father died in the battle. Banterang was quite shocked in hearing this, because his father, Prabu Merak, was the king
who killed the woman’s father.
Nonetheless, Banterang fell in love with her and took the woman to be his wife. Later the woman’s brother
found out the marriage. He gave his sister a keris and asked her to kill Banterang.
Banterang found the keris on his bed. He thought that his wife would kill him. However it was the
princess’ brother who put the keris on the bed. The princess and Banterang then had a quarrel. In her desperate
attempt to prove her innocence, the princess jumped into the river. Since then, the river is known as Banyuwangi.
Banyu means water and wangi means fragrant. The river’s name reflects the princess’ honesty.

All about plants

 Well, students. Today, I’m going to talk about plants. I’d like to divide my talk into two parts. The first
part will be about tree and the second will be flowering plants. Let’s begin with trees. A tree consists of three main
parts: the crown or canopy, trunk, and roots.
The crown or the canopy is at the top of tree. It filters dust and other particles from the air. It consists of
leaves, branches, and twigs. As you all know, the leaves are the food factories of a tree. They contain chlorophyll
which helps the photosynthesis process and gives green color to the leave.
Now, let’s talk about trunk or stem. The trunk of a tree supports the crown and gives the tree its shape and
strength. The trunk consists of several layers. The layers carry water and minerals up from the roots to the leaves
and they carry sugar down from the leaves to the branches, trunk, and roots.
What about roots? Roots absorb water and nutrients from the soil, store sugar, and hold the tree upright in
the ground. Roots also have a lot of branches. Some roots can go down more than four meters! Now look at this and
after a break, I will continue with flowering plants.
