Pengertian

Volume pori (Vp) terisi oleh setidaknya 3 fluida; Minyak (Vo), Air (Vw), dan Gas (Vg)

Kejenuhan air, minyak dan gas dinyatakan dalam:

Jadi, kejenuhan fluida didefinisikan sebagai persentase pore space yang terisi
oleh fluida tersebut (Minyak, Air dan Gas)

Sehingga dapat dituliskan dalam persen jumlah seluruh fluida dalam reservoir
menjadi:
100% = Sw + So + Sg

 Swc = minimum water saturation
= critical water saturation
= ± 25 – 30 %

Waktu ditemukan Sw = 40%

Batasnya Sw = 60% dikenal sebagai Sw cut off
Sw < 60% dikenal sebagai potensial HC

 Swc tergantung pada :

•Wettability (kebasahan) atau adhesion force

•Ø (porositas)
•Untuk oil wet rock = 6 – 10 %
•Untuk water wet rock = 25 – 30 %

 So dalam keadaan minimum (residual) saturation

Sor biasanya < 10 %

Sor ekonomis = 50 – 70 %

Pada saat eksploitasi berhenti, HC nya masih ada tetapi

tidak ekonomis.

disebut Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) atau Tertiary

Direct methods

• Direct measurement methods rely simply on the removal of all liquids by

evaporation or extraction - from a core sample and determining their
individual volumes.

• One device used commonly for this purpose is the Modified ASTM
Extraction Unit
